Agentgenesis is an open-source web app that provides source for customizable Gen AI code snippets that you can easily copy and paste into your applications.

AgentGenesis is not distributed via npm and does not need to be installed as a dependency. Simply pick the code you need, copy and paste it into your project, and build on top of it according to your requirements. The code is entirely yours to use and modify.

Here is a quick overview of the agentgenesis repo setup:

First, you need to fork the agentgenesis repo. You can do this by clicking the Fork button on the top right corner of the repo.

Once forked, you can clone the repo by clicking the Clone or Download button on the top right corner of the forked repo.

Please change the directory after cloning the repository using the cd <folder-name> command.

Need to have docker on your system and to start the app in container using docker you just need to simple run below command.

docker compose up

Next, install the dependencies by running the following command in the agentgenesis repo. we recommend using npm.

npm install

Use the following command to start the app in the development mode:

npm run dev

It runs the app in development mode. Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.

Use the following command to build the app for production:

npm run build

It builds the app for production to the build folder. It correctly bundles Next JS in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance. The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
