Huh, it seems that I forgot to include fmtlib and the build worked because it used my system installation :/. Sorry for that.

The windows build can probably be made to work, but I indeed only tested it on linux.

I was able to get the windows build working, but that required using mingw-w64. Added some clarifications to the README.

sorry i should have specified that i had gotten it working on my end through wsl as well

Yeah, WSL is also an option because it's basically Linux :)
