FSE: Add padding/space to Template Part editor to make room for toolbars #60971

Open

Description

@cuemarie

What

Add padding or internal space to the template part editor to allow some room for floating toolbars, particularly for short-height elements.

Why

When editing a template part that has a short height, block settings bars overlay ontop of the blocks themselves, making it quite difficult at times to use the block or edit settings.

Example: Here's a quick video of me trying to edit a Social Icons element of a Navigation Block when editing just the header template part of a site:

    @cuemarie - Thanks for pointing this out!

    It looks like it would be valuable to open this as an issue in the core Gutenberg repo: www.github.com/wordpress/gutenberg since it is an underlying issue there. This will also help with promoting more community and design discussion as well as make it available to more core contributors. If you may be able to open the issue there, it could be quite valuable!

    Looks like this was reported in Gutenberg here: WordPress/gutenberg#38409
