Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron have officially announced their rhythm dance for the 2025/2026 season with a theme inspired by voguing and powered by the iconic beats of Depeche Mode.
The duo shared a sneak peek of their rhythm dance on Instagram, along with a statement:
“This season, we wanted to choose a bold and powerful theme: Voguing to Depeche Mode.
We selected two iconic anthems from the 90s :
- Enjoy the silence (The 12” Singles)- Remixes of the 1990 album version from Violator by Depeche Mode.
- Personal Jesus (Alex Metric Remix)- Remix of the 1990 album version from Violator by Depeche Mode.
Picture yourself in the underground party scene during the new wave of alternative synth-pop. That’s the world we want to bring to the ice.
We are exploring the sharp geometry of voguing and more specifically “arm control movement”, fused with the timeless pulse of electro-pop.
To bring this vision to life we collaborated with our incredible choreographer Bieel Moraes.
Marie-France Dubreuil then sculpted the ice choreography using the material we developed together. Thanks also to Romain Haguenauer, Sam Chouinard and Ginette Cournoyer for adding their magic touch.
This creative process was both extremely complex and challenging and we are excited to share the result with you all!
