    I would imagine you couldn't give the things away ,unless they are good for parts, or scrap value.

    It's very expensive to dispose (legally !) of redundant industrial electrical and electronic kit. They may well have removed some components for spares, but the rest will probably remain until it actually has to be removed for disposal

    Maybe a certain ship based broadcaster might be interested...
