I'm a Premium Member, on Magic Radio I can get Ad Free extra Music on my Alexa, but on my Phone app all I get when an extra songs being played is an Advert

Do you get the crown icon next to the station on the iPhone app?

I only get the Crown on Magic Power Ballards

Has the app been updated recently? If not, uninstall and reinstall again as you should get all the Magic stations with the crown.

I've sorted it now Thanks M8

I deleted the Magic Radio App, and tuned Magic Radio into Rayo and it worked

A decent update to Rayo this week has added a "stations and schedules" button on the front page, not dissimilar to BBC Sounds and Global Player. Already feels so much easier to find programmes (though it does highlight how selective their catchup is compared to the two apps mentioned above where it is all but universal).

BBC and Global also alone programs to be downloaded which is a great feature as well, Rayo still has lots of catching up to do.

After the soft launch of GHR 70s & 80s along with Hits Radio 90s and 00s commercial free, the higher bitrate premium streams have now arrived along with commercials on the free streams/DAB.

These stations are no longer ad-free and feature top-of-the-hour adverts before the news. :(

The free streams of Hits/GHR decades stations since August, but they're still commercial free on Premium.

A couple of the Absolute stations have had the top of the hour ads while I'm signed in under premium.

Likely to be an issue with the playout software.

Can confirm I've just had another ad (Tesco Mobile) at 11:23 before a Make Me A Winner promo and then the music coming back.

Why not contact them at premium-support@hellorayo.co.uk - there’s nothing much we can really do about it.

It seems the ads are only present on the legacy apps and not the Rayo app, which they encouraged me to use when responding to my email. I liked being able to switch between stations with Bluetooth controls on the legacy apps, but hey-ho!

I'm surprised anyone still uses the legacy station apps, they were really buggy compared to Rayo.

Currently listening to playback of the most recent edition of Simon Mayo's Album show on catch up via Rayo (via Google casting) and getting all the ads apart from some in the first part of the show where they were skipped - I'm a premium subscriber.......it seems the editing, if done automatically, is getting errors coming through at the moment - never had this before ...

The Rayo app on Android has had an update. Something seems to have changed in the background, because now when I play a live stream whilst Bluetoothed to my car, the car's multimedia display constantly shows a five-second "track" - counting from 0 to 5, then back to 0, etc. Presumably it's something in the metadata for the stream, but until now it's always displayed without a track length on screen, which obviously is redundant for a live stream...

They seem to have added all the usual Xmas streams now, Absolute Xmas Party, ones from Magic Classical, GHR Xmas etc

Three free months worth if ya fancy it if you use code MUSIC for a sign up.

Had an e-mail with the offer yesterday. TBH, won't do so.

I wish they'd sort their Casting implimentation out. If you compare Google Casting on Rayo, to say the VRadio app, it's awful...... Failed or very slow starts to streaming where as with VRadio it's almost instantaneous

I assume everyone has now received their Rayo Rewind for 2025? (It's basically their version of 'Spotify Unwrapped', but based on your listening habits on the Rayo app). It's a good idea, except not at all accurate. For me, it should have been a pretty even mix between GHR, Jazz FM and Magic Classical, except Rayo Rewind thinks that I've listened to nothing but jazz this past year. I do like the fact that they've put a personalised playlist together for me, just that I could've been a lot more accurate as to what I've been listening to!

A good idea, but one that can be done a lot better in 12 months time.

Interesting idea. Is it personalised or have they just picked an existing playlist based on your existing listening history?

I had a "Kisstory 10s" mix, although it must be something fairly recent as it has "Happy Xmas" jingles slipped into it.
