But the Portimao circuit replaces the Netherlands GP which was easier for British fans to get to, as an alternative to Silverstone, guess some tour operators will have a Portugal GP and holiday package?, but the Belgium GP is also easy to get to?

Sadly Zandvoort is not really up to it for modern F1. It was only put on the calendar to Max-emise revenue.

Fair comment - I think with all the banking and stuff they implemented they've sort of dragged it to an interesting place to watch modern F1 cars drive, but not really race (interesting in the wet though).

The Portimao one is interesting because it feels like the opposite - a rare instance of, for whatever reason, F1 adding a circuit to the calendar without the express aim of maximising revenue (as one can't really imagine Portimao are paying top dollar like an Abu Dhabi, or Saudi or Bahrain or indeed any other recent addition).

Agree and nice to see they have put in a European race to replace another but a shame it seems Spa might be getting pushed out.

Also concur the Dutch GP was really only there due to the Max factor and apparently they couldn't get a sprint race etc to boost revenue.
