I do 99% of my internet radio listening on internet radio devices from various brands, all Frontier Silicon (now Frontier Smart) based. This has the advantage that all my internet radis have access to the Frontier Nuvola portal, where I have more favourites stored than fit in any radio's presets.
For the other 1%, when travelling, I use the "Receiver" Android app, because it uses the same Airable station database as Frontier does.

I purchased this app when a few ago off the back of this post and it’s ticked nearly every box.
Only issue is the chromecast option is very temperamental.
Android version is not quite as good as the iPhone one.
VRadio is now in the App Store but there are no UK stations on it.
Is there a reason why none of you use Global Player, BBC Sounds, TalkSPORT, Absolute radio app etc?
Surely you’d get everything you wanted then or am I missing something?
Can’t be bothered with company specific software. Plus the Hits Radio app used to spam a lot with notifications.
Some apps have better privacy policies than others.

Bauer don't offer the higher bitrate streams for their local stations for example using their station branded apps, so using an app that has them in their database is more useful, but I use Global Player because they offer decent quality streams which are better than the 48k AAC+/128k MP3 streams that are on apps and Radiofeeds.
Using an app such as Transistor enables the user to choose apps and stations they wish to use as well without any advertising on the app.
Just reviving this. I am using Radio Box - it gets stations all around the world and seems stable and easy to use. But don't ever hear it mentioned - anyone else use it? I used to use TuneIn but it no longer plays stations I listen to that are US based.

Very useful also for looking at playlists for all over the world and seeing which station plays your sort of music.I don’t use tune-in but do quite a few others for different reasons and depending on which piece of equipment I’m using at the time.
The best bit about audials is you can add folders
ie
fm dial
chat radio
80s
etc etc there seems to be no other player out there to do this
but the downside is no bbc can be added to audials ( posibly a plus side
I like the Audials app and use it on my phone in car via Bluetooth.
But recently I tried to add Greatest hits 60s and according to the technical helpline it is not compatible with the app.
So I use radioplayer or Xiia

I am trying out Vradio.
It has more stations than Radioplayer, including Greatest hits 60s.
pause and record options.
Links well with my Android phone to car steering wheel controls.(Toyota CHR).
VRadio is my go to app for online listening (except when chase-playing a sports commentary on BBC Sounds such as I am doing with The Ashes TMS coverage this morning). I like you can adjust the amount of buffering which you may want to do depending on if you have a good or less good connection.
Curiously, the inbuilt R5SX no longer plays on VRadio but I was able to add my own R5SX radio stream from the radiofeeds web site which plays fine. Same is true for some other BBC Radio stations. Wondering if the VRadio bods need to do a station refresh?

It’s fine Android.

MyTuner is my usual, but most streamers have some geo-lockouts, most frustrating to have to change to listen to my preferred stations.

I may be an outlier but this is in my top 3 requirements for an app.

Why don't you contact them and let them know - I have always found them to be very responsive and helpful in the past.
