Format is very diverse I must say. The Buzz name reminds me more of an alternative station but this Buzz it isn't at all. In the US you have many alternative stations with that name, but it's very wide.
I rediscovered this station. It still sounding good and they have change the station logo and website lately? Still sounding decent with good processing. Someone knows what they are using?
The website has changed, and the address is now thebuzz.network rather than thebuzzmcr.com which is less Manchester-centric - IMO this format could be replicated elsewhere.
The display name on my internet radio has changed from "The Buzz MCR" to just "The Buzz". It's still "BUZZ MCR" on local DAB.
As said earlier in the thread, other than the odd mention of Manchester in the (American) imaging, there's nothing even slightly local on it, it could be a station for/from anywhere, it would take very little to make it into one of those formats that pops up on SSDAB up and down the country.
