No hate to Amber at all, but I really do wish it had been Lewis in the final instead.

    Me too

I'm glad Amber was saved over Lewis too, not least because it bolsters George's chances even more ! Come on team Warrkey <3 !

In an ideal world it would have been La Voix with Amber, George and Kaz.

    There are many ideal worlds.

Fleur saying that Amber is the first celeb ever to score a 40 three weeks in a row, with Nikita sat there, when Layton also did it. A true test of loyalty, a true challenge to his show's edict to all its pros that they must throw all their previous partnerships in the bin because whatever's happening now is with the bestest best friend for life you've ever best friended.

I know! There wasn’t even a flicker, a soupçon, a breath of a hard stare from Nikita to Fleur.

Hope Layton gives him heck when they next meet.

Leaving aside the conniving producers, is it possible he forgot in that moment? I did.

got it. the point I was trying to make was that IDEALLY we wouldn't have been in a situation where we were pitting those 2 against each other but 🤷‍♀️

Layton got a 40 for his pass doble then his Charleston. His next 40 was in the final and for a repeated dance I’m sure he only got 39 for his show dance.
So Amber has got 40 three weeks in a row before the final.

Nikita’s comment to Amber about the purpose of the tissues 😆

Nikita looking so handsome and his comments are engaging me more and more 😍

Amber inadvertently shading Anton and Shirley 😆

Is Nikita a bit in love with Amber?! He is so full of gushing admiration and on about how beautiful she looks. Maybe it’s just me … I don’t want to be accused of shipping, as I’m not. Just curious.

I like show dances that sample previous dances from the show with some added sparkle.

Nikita is a bit in love with Amber for sure. I’m convinced of it.

Strictly singers minus Jamie. I miss Lance and preferred his voice to Tommy and he was the one who did Gangnam Style, not Tommy and I get annoyed when it’s wrongly attributed 😠

I liked Jamie & Lance both. Found it odd they chose another female to round out the team and not another male voice.

I can't remember the name at the moment but they added a male voice for musicals week.

I remember you commenting on their chemistry before and either they hated or fancied one another. I don’t think Amber has any feelings towards Nikita as she seems to be in love with the show, the experience and dancing. I hadn’t thought until tonight’s show that either of them might have feelings for the other until Nikita was going on and on.

Surely Nikita was just trying to bolster Amber. I really can't imagine anything else. Nikita seems totally smitten with his partner - they've been together for over 2 years.

The thing about Lewis was he was clearly a trained hip hop dancer who adapted to Ballroom/Latin. With the fabulous Katya. Amber (without hate ) just seemed to do what she does anyway. Being a professional, multipurpose dancer. Fair enough, she was employed to keep Nikita on the show. But Lewis was a bit special.

Lewis lost fair and square to Amber…I suggest it’s time to let it go and move on rather than playing this game of “my ringer isn’t as ringery as your ringer”.

Amber has learnt ballroom and latin to an incredibly high standard, as well as Lewis. It's all new to her as well. She is no more 'a professional, multipurpose dancer' than Lewis (have you read his spotlight?)

She was employed to keep the beginning number up to 15 with the aim of having a 4 person final. They would have done the same for any pro, not specifically Nikita. The risk of injuries/withdrawals meant that they really needed 15 at the start. And it's proved very necessary. We should all be grateful she stepped in at the eleventh hour.

As has been frequently mentioned, Lewis's spotlight lists a load of dance styles he's either highly trained at or competent at. The Billy Elliot training isn't like going to a dance class after school for an hour a couple of times a week - the Billys and Michaels moved to London and lived in the Billy house, had tutors for a few hours a day rather than school, and spent the rest of the day training in ballet, tap, street and acro. They did a year to eighteen months of intensive training before being ready to take to the stage.

You may not be keen on Amber. But she very definitely has not just 'done what she does anyway'. She's trained incredibly hard to learn new skills. Just as Lewis had.

Let's not have 'fan wars' at this late stage. I'm excited about that final - why don't we focus on that?

I think they are both very special dancers. Lewis delivered a couple of the best dances this series (dances that will go down in Strictly history), but for me, Amber was more consistently good.

And neither of them are my favourite this series, but I wanted to defend Amber as I think you're being a little unfair.

You were certainly on form with your review @Crimson Arrow loved the take on the Abba song too.

Thanks @NYGirl for the insight into DWTS Australia. I 'm glad Julian came to strictly too and am glad he was able to reinforce his love of dancing by taking part and having Balvinder as a partner.

another great review and I also liked the new lyrics to the Abba song,

sorry to hear you had a bad night @Crimson and hope you felt better today :)

yes, thank you @NYGirl - I've been following the Italian Strictly, and it's interesting to see the different versions of our Strictly.

Amber is a Finalist, but she knows and we knows she has NO chance of winning, her chances of winning is as much as some of us winning the Lottery, zero chance :D .

But she knows she can go out there on Saturday and just have a fab, fun time, she'll have lots of job opportunities waiting for her as a result of doing Strictly despite the Public Vote NOT going her way in general and she knows that, she's not stupid and has coped so well despite knowing others were more liked by the Public, but she's more superior technically, so wouldn't have stood a chance in a DO.

Lewis will be fine despite being Eliminated fair and square, he has a lot of talent and like Amber will have lots of job opportunities waiting for him, so these Ringer Fan Wars are unnecessary :D .

That wasn’t what I said. I let it go straight away I was just explaining why I personally preferred Lewis as a dancer on this show.
    No need for nastiness.

If they'd meant "not including the final" they should have said so, especially as when it's someone else's turn to be gassed up with arbitrary stats, then 40s scored in the final absolutely will count. As much as anyone should be taking the It Takes Two (or any) stats seriously. Which is not much.

It is entirely fair enough for you to prefer Lewis for whatever reason however it isn't true that Amber has just been doing what she does anyway she has never learnt latin and ballroom before and has been working very hard the last few months to try and be as good as possible. In terms of her career in musicals it's not like she's been in the ensemble she's been playing lead roles which tend to require not nearly as much dancing.
