I reckon my favourite is Boney M with Mary's Boy Child – Oh My Lord. I was still in junior school when I first heard it on the radio all those years ago, and I've loved hearing it ever since. So smooth.

Oh good grief! This thread seems to get re-created every blooming year on here. And, here we go again... :D

Anyway. The only Christmas song I'm interested in hearing and will enjoy listening too, is, as ever, Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses. :) It's an under appreciated classic.

Yes, and there's a simple reason the same songs keep getting listed year after year:- They're mostly good catchy songs.

    In no order
    Kelly clarkson-underneath the tree
    Wham-Last Christmas
Kelly clarkson ft Brett Elderidge-Underneath the mistletoe.
Mariah Carey-All I want for Christmas
    Mariah Carey-oh santa
Kelly Clarkson ft Ariana Grande-Santa can u hear me
    Spice Girls-2 Become 1
Michael buble-its beginning to look alot like Christmas
    Darlene Love-Alone on Christmas
    Britney Spears-My Only Wish.

Have to say Kelly clarkson Christmas music is really underrated its nearly my favourites on the list, underneath the mistletoe is beautiful kinda hits the feels if u have unrequited love.
2 Become 1 i know will be argued its not Christmas but it was Xmas num 1 when I was a kid only 11 so I associated it with Christmas an as I got older its a beautiful ballad an only spice girls song i genuinely think is brilliant think only the coldest heart couldnt help but like it.

I find many Christmas songs are overly sentimental & are too sickly sweet for me to listen to them.

This is a random selection of some of my favourite (unsentimental) songs:

The Goodies - Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me

This will never get played on mainstream radio or in shops nowadays

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsagJ0hxYCo

Miles Davis & Bob Dorough (vocals) - Blue Xmas (To Whom It May Concern)

    A different take on Christmas

    Claire Martin - Santa Baby

A stripped down version of this Christmas song

If I may, I'd like to give another list.

"Blue Christmas"-Oak Ridge Boys (their 1995 recording)
"The Angels Cried"-Alan Jackson & Alison Krauss
"O Little Town Of Bethlehem"-Kenny Chesney
    "Christ Child's Lullaby"-Kathy Mattea
    "This Old White Doorway"-Forester Sisters
"What Made The Baby Cry?"-Toby Keith (RIP)
    "Away In A Manger"-Kenny Chesney
"Do You Hear What I Hear?"-Steve Wariner
"For Christ's Sake, Its Christmas"-George Strait
    "Silent Night"-Kenny Chesney

God bless you and my favorites who are still here always!!!

Do you listen to the radio much, and if so have you heard that song played at all? I mean it's wonderful, and it actually got to no. 4 on the UK singles chart, yet it appears to be almost forgotten. :/
