I too would like to know why Becky, who only last week was apparently petrified of "being watched" by people who had something to do with this Curtis's gang is now completely relaxed about wandering round the streets, hanging around the precinct (looking like scruffy teenage boy from the 1990's) sitting in the garden of doom or making hospital visits. No one is questioning any of this. Why? If she's meant to be terrified she could at least make an attempt to look and act like it.
How many friends had Joanie invited? The amount of food was as though they thought she was bringing the whole school! Even by snobby Sally's standards it was way over the top!
And the food was traditional 'tea party' food - sandwiches, cake and possibly vol au vents?
Youngsters that age might prefer pizza or chicken nuggets or something.
It was all a bit odd.
You'd think Sally would be more at ease, considering she brought up two girls of her own. Both who had their own struggles.

Yes vol au vents as Tim kept getting told off as Sally was going to take the food to the Underworld Xmas Party!
As you say it is not the type of food kids these days want.
Loved it when Abi asked Glenda if there was any shifts going in the Rovers! Errr..don't think so as they now have Eva, Ben, Maggie, Ollie, as well as Glenda, Lauren and Sean. Think they are already way over staffed for a back street pub.

That didn't make sense because they had the party at the bistro.

All those people, yet only Glenda was working on a Friday evening just before Christmas and the bistro was practically empty. Was that Theo in the corner who left just as Sarah arrived?
Carla was in her usual mode of grab keys, grab phone, grab bag, grab coat and stomp off again tonight. Rinse and repeat.
And there seemed to be a lot of lurking round doors/corners and listening in to conversations in that house tonight.
So Carla is working undercover for the police now, is she?!! She has beef with Becky, so she will have to be in on catching her and confronting her! Meanwhile, what is Swain who is a police officer supposed to be doing?!! This SL is utter nonsense.
It seemed a reasonable explanation to say that there was no prison visiting on Christmas Day. But at Sally's it was blonde, teenage strop night.
Why does Debbie want Abi at her wedding? When Abi was with Kevin, she was never particularly nice to Debbie.
I know it lets Carl off the hook for now but does anyone know if Tyrone's case would really be dropped so quickly? Will the drone footage be relevant?
Lauren is so up herself these days . Kit ordered a coke and tendered a bank note and told her to keep the change I'm out of touch with pub prices these days but it seemed to be a very big tip.
This made me laugh - did you see the measure she gave him?!? Luckily it had miraculously topped itself up by the time he sat down with Carla
I noticed recently that many of the customers were just tapping with their mobiles to pay. Wonder why Git didn't?
Lauren is a right mardy madam, she's sour-faced and has attitude. She says she loves her job, well I wouldn't like to see how she'd behave if she hated it. Get rid.
we get people in real life who are perpetual mardy buggers so Lauren is just fitting that characterisation quite well.
in real life she's quite jolly, her and sydney (betsey) are really good friends.
was in work one time before my shift and the manager came in and chatted to me, just to escape our particularly mardy young colleague we were working with that day
not everybody in real life is happy 24/7, chesney's the same
Yes we do and I've met plenty. Lauren is a barmaid though and that's not a job for a person with a face that permanently looks like a well slapped ar$e. People go to pubs to relax and enjoy themselves, not to have a misery guts glowering behind the bar. She even gets annoyed when asked to serve a customer. What she loves about her job I've no idea, probably being paid for doing sweet fanny adams.
Chesney is a dreadful misery guts too and seems perpetually worried. However he doesn't have attitude, unlike madam, and I find him likeable. Joseph is a little misery but we've not seen him in ages.
I absolutely agree about Lauren and you are spot on about Chesney and Joseph.
Can you blame Joseph for being a misery, living in that family? The poor kid probably has to share a bedroom with at least one or two of the quads, and he's probably getting to that age now where boys need a little 'private time'. 😆
Really not following this Becky / Costello story. So what's the thing with him buying a new house with his wife, coincidentally shortly after Becky 'died'? I'm probably zoning out as the whole thing is like watching paint dry, but I'm really losing track with it all.

I'm sure it will or they wouldn't have made a point of showing it straight after Carl thinks he's in the clear. Carl is also building up to needing an exit fairly soon, what with him ripping Debbie off at the hotel and also being involved in a hit and run.
Lots of characters missing at the moment as well. Gemma, Chesney, Mason, Dylan, all not been seen for ages.
I also don't understand how Carla has been somehow seconded into Weathy police force. And as usual, it seems that any Tom Dick or Harry can just rock up to the hospital and pop into a patients room. Carla doesn't even know Costello!
I'm also sick of Carla swooping in and out, dumping her massive bunch of keys and phone on the table then minutes later scraping them all back up and flouncing off again.
And what about Betsy whingeing about the washing machine making her clothes smelly! She showed no concern for Carla and the fact that she felt driven out of her own house by Badly Drawn Becky! What's wrong with her other mummies sorting the washing machine issue out?

With my Sherlock Holmes deerstalker on, and my meerschaum pipe puffing merrily, I wonder if Rhubarb Hill might have been an attempt by Costello to say Ravensgill?
Like everyone else I’m struggling to follow this Costello story, but I’m guessing that the million quid he paid for Ravensgill was some sort of bribe, presumably from the drug gang that are supposedly (though with a depressing degree of inefficiency) trying to top Becky.

There is a rhubarb hill somewhere near Castleford in Yorkshire, so I expect it will be something to do with the Emmerdale crossover.
Although, did he say rhubarb hill or hill rhubarb? I forget now. I thought it was one of those "three words" sat nav codes at first.
Unfortunately I am three months behind in Emmerdale, so wont have the foggiest what is going on.

Surely there's a reason?
Mason could easily come back from witness protection, because his brothers were involved with faking Becky's death. Unless Asha actually saw him die of course, I am not sure?

Yes it didn’t make sense Sally saying with certainty that the girls could visit their mum on Christmas Day. Surely you would say ‘I don’t know but let me find out’. It stands to reason to expect certain establishments will probably not be open on that day
I don’t remember Abi not being nice to Debbie when she was with Kevin. They always seemed to get on quite well
Blanche Hunt: Good looks are a curse, Deirdre. You and Kenneth should count yourselves lucky. = Brilliant!!! @SeagullNipple thankyou for the link.
From back in the day when the writers could write. Blanche was a battle axe, but she was a witty one. My favourite quip from her was about Roy and Haley, "She's a man and he's a looney". They'd never get away with a line like that these days.

I think that when Becky went undercover to investigate the gangsters, she stole a lot of money off them. Costello was in cahoots with her. So she gave him the money to buy the house, and they conspired to cause the death of Tia Wardley so that Becky could disappear and they buried Tia's body instead of Becky's
