Lead singer of The Mavericks dies aged 60 (source: Rolling Stone).

Was never a big Mavericks fan but did see them once, twenty-odd years ago when they supported Shania Twain at a gig in Hyde Park…he’ll be dancing the night away with other music acts we’ve sadly lost now….

"Oh, What A Crying Shame" is my most favorite song from The Mavericks.

60 is no age to pass away. RIP. I enjoy quite a few Mavericks songs. He had a great voice.
