STV North (Grampian as was) can be received in Eyemouth, Burnmouth and parts of Berwick, thanks to the North Sea providing a clear signal path from Durris. In the case of lower Burnmouth - which nestles at the foot of some cliffs - it's the only option available other than Sky, as the cliffs screen reception from both Eyemouth and Selkirk.
I believe it used to make it to the North Yorkshire coast, the only thing that limited reception there was CCI from Belmont
Northsound on 96.9 wouls likely make it down there as well but for being co-chanel with (ex) Viking from High Hunsley.
Apart from the first 10 miles or so, the entire path is over the North Sea.
