Thanks to Boom Radio playing it (I can't remember that last time I heard it on any other station) - In A Broken Dream by Python Lee Jackson, featuring a young Rod Stewart as session vocalist

    Definitely agree.

I haven't heard the mid-90s trance tune 'Seven Days and One Week' by BBE in absolutely ages, but I heard it the other day, and it still really pops.

    All Saints - Pure Shores

It's just come up on a mixed playlist, and even nearly 30 years later, it still sounds great. Calming, uplifting, just such a great song to listen to.

    Absolute stonker of a tune
On the subject of Rod Stewart I’ll throw in Reason To Believe which turned up on Flower Power Radio the other day. Originally(I believe) part of a double A side with Maggie May now largely forgotten. Whisper it quietly the better song. My opinion obvs

Nothing Breaks Like A Heart (feat. Miley Cyrus) - Mark Ronson

A massive flop for both but it's really good.

Talking of Rod Stewart, his version of "Reason To Believe" is absolutely superb.
Having not played the album it is from for a long time, I played it recently and had forgotten just how good that song is.

I'd forgotten all about The Lightning Seeds. Cracking song, Pure. The Life of Riley, and Sugar Coated Iceberg, also pretty nifty.

"Jesamine" by the Casuals (1968). Actually a cover of a song released some months earlier by the The Bystanders (which didn't chart). Co-written by Marty Wilde,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxEZxhcMK0s

One of those fabulous late 60s singles that filled the charts. A golden era.

Jesamine is such a beautiful song. I only discovered it around 15 years ago. Glad I found it.

I saw the music video for Dont wanna fall in love from Jane Child this weekend, what a banger that was

Another really good choice. Bought this on vinyl. The B-side is a remix of Don’t Wanna Fall In Love and is arguably even better than the A-side.

Goodbye Stranger by Supertramp is so underrated. It didn’t even reach the top 40

The album from which it comes Breakfast In America is my second favourite album of all time. And … I don’t even like Supertramp much!

Every time I play Goodbye Strangef I am bewildered as to why it just wasn’t rated highly at all.

How about this Gibson Brothers effort I re-discovered on YouTube?

Great song. Love the dancers (but wonder where they are now).

It’s a fabulous song & was sadly ignored on its release as part of a double A side with Maggie May. IMHO(controversial I know) it’s a much better song.
On the subject of superb Rod vocals, In A Broken Dream credited to Python Lee Jackson, absolute classic.

Yes, it is even my favourite song Rod has ever sung. For personal reasons I know I shall be listening to it on December 14th :sunglasses:
