Trying to identify a show

I was recently told about a show but the person concerned could not remember the title.
The scenario was of couples whisked off on luxury holiday. After 2 or 3 days they were taken to homes of local people where they had to live their lifestyle and even undertake their occupations. Those included the likes of working in a laundry, shelling prawns and sorting rubbish at a tip. From the description, that last one sounded like the Maldives.
I would like to catch up with this series and would appreciate any ideas of the title please.
