Link verification does not check all verified URLs correctly

Hi,

Over the past few days, I have been re-verifying previously created links in GSA SER. Around 90% of them were marked as down.

However, I manually checked a sample of these URLs and also ran a live link check using Scrapebox. Most of the links that GSA SER had marked as down were actually still online and accessible.

Am I doing something wrong, or could there be an issue with the link verification process?

Paused GSA SER Project Marked (P) When Mode Changed to Re-verify (R)

Hello Sven and GSA peoples of the world.

I noticed that a project that has run to pause on whatever trigger will then show the P mode in the Project Pane, even after the project was shut, and then re-started in Re-verify mode.

Sven, should it be marked RP? or PR? Because I see it's verifying but at a glance it looks to be off...

SER forcing generic anchors when none selected

It seems in the latest version, SER forces the use of "website" "web page" "homepage" and others as anchor text despite generic not being selected. This is especially common when using Add additional links in article. I don't even understand where it's getting these anchors, it's always the same, "website" "web page" "homepage" and so on...

When I tested my anchor set in the Test on the main page, the anchors are all output properly. When the actual article is created, the anchors are completely different than what I selected. This does not happen with every article, but it does happen I would say ~40% of the time. There must be a bug here because I manually tested each of my anchor spins, and all of them are working properly.

I fill all fields

Anchor Text - 15%
Partial - 20%
Secondary - 30%
Branding - 30%
LSI - 5%

0% generic anchors, yet it continues to add them anyways.

Note: This seemingly does NOT occur when previewing the article, only in live articles.

Unable to download GSA SER v18.88

I am unable to download the latest update of GSA SER v18.8 as it is blocked by Windows Defender. I tried the home pc and also from the VPS same everywhere.

The in-place update works, but for new installs unable to download.

Hello,

My OpenAI API key is working correctly outside of GSA SER and my account has available credits.

However, inside GSA SER AI Content Generator I always receive:

“Unable to generate content. Unable to solve.”

I tested both gpt-4o-mini and gpt-3.5-turbo models but the issue continues.

Could you please advise what might be causing this?

GSASER Article Insert Anchor Onto Link Issue

Hi @Sven, I found an issue. It seems if I use a KW and anchor hard-written into the article, SER may try to place a link onto that text, ignoring that the article text already has a link for that text.

Generating AI articles with GSA content generator not working

A few months ago I was able to use this function inside GSA content generator to generate thousands of articles perfectly fine but now when I try it is giving me issues. Whenever I go to create AI articles inside GSA content generator using GPT 4o mini it will constantly give me the error "unable to generate content, no valid content from API". I am sure that the API is correct and I even created a new one to test and it gives me the same issue, i am also sure that I have plenty of funds topped up in my account.

@Sven can you please look into this and see what the issue is.

OPENAI Macro Outputting OPEN AI Prompt at End: It was %original_anchor_text%

This generates the proper requested data via the AI prompt macro, but then SER seems to be adding the content of the macro prompt itself to the end of the About Me that's been created, which was done well, and according to the AI's directions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked my log at OPEN AI and the text was generated without appending the AI prompt. So this happened after SER received the data back.

P.S. Actual Article output via the same macro works fine. Any ideas?

Is there something in how SER parses the macro? I took commas within my prompt out but still not okay. This had been okay so wondering if this was due to change in an update?

So I was only looking at the output. The input string was being cut off, when I checked that side. Oddly, even though cut off and not showing in the input window , it was still "there" and was clearly utilized by the AI engine in writing the About Me text, while at the same time the AI was echoing the entire prompt after the ] closing bracket (I didn't know was there) back to me.

Anyway, &original_anchor_text% seems to create:

[htt ps://my.own.site My Site]

and that closing bracket closed the AI prompt!

Is that also true in the article engine? Am I sending this to AI generators, and it's being parsed like THAT?

Or, is it just that %original_anchor_text% will add the bracket set [ ] and link for About Me pages automatically?

What GSA SER Macro should I be using instead, dear friends?

UPDATE: %original_Anchor_text% doesn't seem to be working for articles either.

I did find a few instances where this did work, but in a lot of cases, the request is complete and not cut off like it is in the above instances with the "About Me" links, and I see %original_anchor_text% as part of the OPEN AI API input in the logs, not the actual anchor SER has selected.

Anyone nkow how this macro operates? Is there a reason for this?

What macro can I use that is solely the anchor text SER has chosen and not a link or anything else inserted?

In the Select > Extended Filter option when viewing verified URLS, MacOS Wiki is missing from the list of Engines.

SER keeps posting to this domain sun-clinic.co.il over and over again, even though I added it as ALL (Domain & Path).

Please look into this.

When I create a new project and in the Project Options Tab, I go to Tools \ Import \ Options -- and select an Options template which I made previously. It imports and updates the fields under the options tab as expected.
BUT
It is also changing fields under the Data Tab, specifically the anchor text variation fields.

I would expect only the Option fields to be edited when importing options.

GSA WordPress automatically removes links from images after updating - the program trims the HTML

Hello. After updating the program on Wp sites, articles stopped creating active links on images. Everything looks fine in the text check, but on the site, none of the images are clickable. Everything used to work fine. Please fix this bug. I am sending you an example of the code I used to place images and my link, and everything worked in WP articles.

I tried not to include links in HTML when posting GSA, but they don't work on the Wp website.

GSA SER not recogizing my captcha services anymore

Hi, GSA SER doesn't recognize my two captcha services--Xevil and 2Captcha--anymore. It recognized both just yesterday. I'm running it on a VPS, and I've made some changes to it. I don't know whether these caused the problem or not. The changes are:

1) Added Malwarebytes to the VPS since Windows Security always blocked XEvil from running, even when I added it to Exclusions. I got it to work by turning off Real Time Protection on Windows Security while adding Malwarebytes for my real-time needs. But even with MalwareBytes, even when I turn it off completely, the same problem shows up (please see screenshot).

2) I upgraded my VPS's computing and memory specs.

3) I upgraded GSA SER to the newest version (18.50).

What could be causing this problem? Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

Video preview image bug

@sven - the video preview image does not allow any file name with an apostrophe (You're, It's ....) in it.

It displays an error message stating that the file does not exist or is unreadable.

Can anything be done about this?

GSA SER creates links even no scraping / lists are added

Like the title said, GSA SER still builds links even i have no scraping option / no search engines checked for scraping and no lists are added to the projects.

I cleared the cache for all projects, cleared the identified, submitted, failed and verified folders, set in project options to don`t use global lists, didn`t imported any lists to the projects, show remaining target urls is 0 when i press the start button, then suddenly it goes to 7800 everytime.

That's a GSA SER bug. Please Sven look into this.

This happens time to time even i get decent verified links my txt files last modified dates are older few weeks but i know i am getting hundreds of verified links per day with no issues. I even got index them but not saving in text.

Issue On SER Extending Number of Characters in Username To Meet Minimum In Engine

Very odd..

I was playing with the new ZWordpress engine.

I had used a test account that is only 4 characters long.

The engine calls for minimum of 6 characters, so SER appended two characters to the Username.

But now the project continues to use the Username AND PW first assigned during testing when the extra characters were added. I have since changed both these fields a bunch of times and there's an issue.

I have now tried a few others usernames over 6 characters, as well as leaving the field blank and checking random, but I still see the same Username and PW each time!

So, OFC, the engine is failing bc it's trying to still use the first Username and PW I had entered, when SER had to append two characters. I have since changed the username to meet the 6 character minimum, instead of changing the engine.

I even restarted SER.
I looked at the engine to see if I hadn't accidentally put some extra characters in there when I was looking at after I first DLed it. Nothing.
It should not be happening.

I guess it has to be something with the process where SER adds characters to a username? Somehow, this gets stuck. I'll try duplicating Project to see if persists.

Sven, when I copy the project this issue stops. So it looks like the Username char extender was stuck?

When importing accounts into projects, I have noticed that when we use passwords with "ñ" in Spanish, it changes to "ń", so we get the invalid password error.

PS. It is a password generated outside of GSASER.

Issue with the Tire project rename

After updating the latest version, there is a major issue with the Tire Project rename. Before the update I can import a tire project file and rename the tire project at once but never detached the tire project. But now, when I import a tire project file, if I rename the tire project, it breaks down to a separate project. here is video so you can understand the problem.
