AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) down-regulates a distinct splice isoform(s) of this gene.
One or more of the processed transcripts for these genes contain two non-overlapping open reading frames (ORFs). The non-overlapping ORFs are represented by CG31332 (FBgn0260463), CG33105 (FBgn0053105).
The CG31332 and CG31352 annotations represent two very similar neighbouring genes located on 3R, which are related to the C. elegans unc-115 gene. These two genes were erroneously annotated as non-overlapping transcripts of a single "CG9489" annotation in release 2 of the genome annotation, but this was subsequently corrected in release 3.2 of the genome annotation so that each gene is represented by a separate annotation (CG31332 and CG31352).
FBrf0201664 uses the symbol "Dunc-115" to refer to the CG31352 annotation. However, the "unc-115" symbol was previously used in FlyBase to refer to the CG31332 annotation. To try to avoid further confusion, CG31352 has been renamed to "Unc-115a" and CG31332 has been renamed to "Unc-115b" to reflect that both genes show similarity to the C. elegans unc-115 gene.
