Larvae expressing Maf1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 progress from egg laying to pupation approximately 24 hours sooner than control larvae. Pupae expressing Maf1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 show a significant increase in volume compared to controls.

Larvae expressing Maf1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL4ppl.PP progress from egg laying to pupation faster than control larvae.

Larvae expressing Maf1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR or Scer\GAL4elav.PU show a normal rate of development.
