      Homozygous tracheal terminal cells show a reduction in branching compared to wild type, have no gas-filled lumen and have very abnormal branch tip morphology (including large varicosities and membrane-filled cytoplasmic swellings). This phenotype is completely recessive.

      Homozygous embryos do not have holes in the cuticle, although they show head involution defects.

      par-629VV/par-615N embryos have occasional small holes in the cuticle.
