There is an increase in the frequency of clone splitting in the diaGL00408-expressing 'loser' cells when clones expressing diaGL00408 under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C are generated in the wild type pupal notum, compared with wild type clones in wild type tissue. The 'loser' clones show reduced compactness over time when apoptosis is also induced.
