BicDhs.PS rescues Df(2L)TW119/BicDr8
Regular heat shock-induced expression of BicDhs.PS (two 37[o]C 30 minute heat shocks per day for 3-4 days starting in the late third larval instar/early pupal stage) is sufficient to overcome the lethality of the BicDr8/Df(2L)TW119 combination. Rescued adult females provided with regular heat shocks are fertile and lay mainly wild-type eggs.
