Kelly Ripa censored for using profanity to describe spending Christmas Eve with Mark Consuelos

"Seems like it's a happy time!" said "Live" guest Sebastian Maniscalco after Ripa used profanity to reminisce on Christmas Eve with husband Mark Consuelos.

Profanity was, apparently, nipping at Kelly Ripa's nose on Friday morning's episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.

Ripa rang in the festive season alongside husband Mark Consuelos and interview guest Sebastian Maniscalco, with the trio exchanging yuletide memories before Ripa let a curse word slip on the broadcast.

The daytime TV icon told viewers about Consuelos' holiday duties, which included being the self-appointed scrap collector when the family opens gifts.

"The trash bag comes out. He's like the Grinch who's stealing Christmas as Christmas is unfolding. He doesn't do it the night before, he does it while we're having Christmas," Ripa said, after Consuelos noted that he has a bag that he hides, where wrapping paper and other discarded items go straight away during the celebration.

Maniscalco observed that he feels like Consuelos is "dialed in, even when you're supposed to be relaxed," and that he comes "out with the hair done, the whole thing," even on days off.

Both Ripa and Consuelos rejected the supposition, with Ripa admitting that the only evening during which Consuelos looks presentable during the holidays is Christmas Eve.

"I usually get everybody pajamas [that are] monogrammed for the night before, so you come out in the pajamas," Ripa said.

After Maniscalco inquired about whether or not Consuelos wears the set to bed, Ripa answered for him.

"No. Christmas Eve," she said. "He wears them once a year for me. Once a year, I'm like, look, I don't ask for much, you've done nothing for this holiday, you've contributed nothing, you've purchased nothing, you've baked nothing, you've set nothing up. Put on the [bleeped] PJs!"

Consuelos laughed as the audience applauded Ripa's profane admission, though it was unclear which word she used, as the show bleeped her audio and placed a small oval over her mouth to obscure her enunciation.

Maniscalco nervously looked toward the studio crowd as he finished the segment by quipping, "Seems like it's a happy time!"

Ripa's use of profanity on the air marks the second major slip on network TV this week, after The View cohost Sara Haines exclaimed, "What the f---?" after celebrity mentalist Oz Pearlman correctly guessed — and spoke out loud — her ATM PIN during a demonstration live on the air.

Panelist Joy Behar later revealed that Haines "had a nervous breakdown" and "started crying" on set in the aftermath.
