  • He joined Entertainment Weekly in April 2016 and is currently an Editorial Director overseeing coverage of movies, awards, and music. He was previously a staff editor on EW.com and Sr. TV Editor.
  • Gerrad is also the host of The Awardist podcast, and previously of the daily What to Watch podcast. He has cohosted EW's live Oscars, Emmys, SAG, and Grammys red carpet shows, and has appeared on Good Morning America, Access Hollywood, Extra!, The Talk, and other news programs, delivering the latest news on pop culture and entertainment.

Experience

Gerrad has covered entertainment and pop culture for more than 20 years, starting his career in Los Angeles as an intern at Entertainment Tonight. He was also a host and correspondent on ReelzChannel, traveling the world covering movie sets, premieres, and junkets in Egypt, Bora Bora, London, Hawaii, and more.

He joined Entertainment Weekly in April 2016, first as a staff editor on EW.com, before becoming editor of the magazine's What to Watch section, and then Sr. TV Editor.
