Cornell first-years and sophomores from ANY college across campus: considering a major or minor in a humanities field? Interested in completing a humanities research project on a topic of your choosing? If so, come to the Humanities Scholars Program (HSP) Winter Open House to learn about this supportive undergraduate research program and meet the program faculty and staff!

Professor Verity Platt (HSP Director) will host this informal open house. HSP is a two-year program housed in the Society for the Humanities (A.D. White House) that offers support for humanities majors/minors, funding for research and internships, guidance on independent senior research projects, curated courses, and cohort-building activities.

Come on by between 5:00 - 6:00 pm for snacks and to get info on how to apply and have your questions answered!

Students do not need to attend the open house in order to apply to HSP. Applications (from sophomores) are due March 1, 2026.
