Narmin Salmanova has been announced as the Azerbaijani spokesperson for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
The results of the Azerbaijani jury in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be revealed again by Narmin Salmanova. Narmin is the presenter of the 9pm News on the Azeri broadcaster iTV. Narmin is the tenth person to hold the role of spokesperson for Azerbaijan, following on from Ell & Nikki in 2021. This will be the second year in a row that Narmin Salmanova will present the results of the Azerbaijani jury in the Eurovision Grand Final.

Who are TuralTuranX?
TuralTuranX is formed of twin brothers Tural and Turan Bağmanov. They were born on October 30 2000 in Zaqatala in northwestern Azerbaijan. They first became interested in music after seeing a piano in school and practicing songs on it. Afterwards, their father bought them a used synthesizer. The brothers also learned how to play guitar. However, after the death of their father, they temporarily stopped playing music.
TuralTuranX were selected to represent Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2023 following a series of auditions, followed by studio recordings and live performances being shared to a focus group.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, they were represented by Elnur & Samir with the song “Day After Day”, they finished 8th in the final. In 2011 Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Ell & Nikki and their song “Running Scared”. The song scored a total of 221 points, receiving only three sets of 12 points from Malta, Russia and Turkey. In 2018 Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final for the first time, having previously had a 100% qualification record.
