About 400 unique locations from all across The Netherlands have been submitted as possible locations for the Eurovision 2021 postcards.

Head of Show Gerben Bakker said they are looking for locations for introducing the 41 competing artists before they enter the Eurovision stage. So far mostly historical and rural places have been submitted. Most submissions come from the provinces South Holland and Drenthe. The province with the third most submissions is Zeeland. Bakker added, they hope to receive more submitted locations from Utrecht, Flevoland and Groningen.

Besides historical locations the organisational team is looking for creative and innovative places that represent The Netherlands of today. Although outdoor locations would be the most ideal, according to Gerben Bakker, filming indoors could also be possible if there is enough room and if the venue has an outstanding internal space worth showing.

It is desired that the regions and the municipalities make the submissions regarding the locations.

The deadline of submission is the 31st December 2020, the recordings will be taking place in March-April.
