Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory has been announced as the host of the third edition of Pan-ArcticVision.
Contest organisers have revealed the host of Pan-ArcticVision 2025 later this month. Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory will host the show live from Iqaluit, they are a performance artists, poet, actor, storyteller and writer who is based in Nunavut. She is an award-winning performer who incorporates her Inuk ancestry into her work and is well known for her activism across a variety of topics.
The third edition of Pan-ArcticVision will be held on November 29 in Iqaluit, Nunavut. To date, the acts have been announced for the competition are:
- Alaska – Quinn Christopherson
- Faroe Islands – Dóttir
- Greenland – Kimmernaq Kjeldsen & HH
- Iceland – Geðbrigði
- Northern Norway/Sápmi – Linus Johnsen
- Northern Sweden/Sápmi – NTÏV
- Nunavut – Shauna Seeteenak
- Pohjois-Suomi – Yungmiqu
- Yakutia – Saina
Pan-ArcticVision is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and was first held in 2023. The contest aims to bring together the peoples of the Arctic. All of the artists competing in the contest were chosen by cultural organisations across the Arctic.
Three categories are awarded prizes in each edition:
- The most Arctic song
- The song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness
- The most revolutionary song
