I suspect that the poker definition is from the second etymology

Based on how having a powerful hand in poker works, "raising, snapping, and/or tricky thing" seems like a more probable etymology than "juniper-flavored alcohol", even if the latter is also possible. ~2025-33651-67 (talk) 06:38, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
