Creating Artificial Intelligence in Digital Art

[edit source]

(Assignment by Fred Dinglasan, Ohlone College 2025) AI has turned to the ethical and creative questions. On the one hand, AI is a tremendous artistic tool, and at the same time, it raises serious moral questions. One of the critics’ arguments regarding AI art is that it will probably cause a legal problem of copyright infringement with the existing artists as most models depend on copyrighted data for training. Another question that arises is that if AI art is devoid of emotional human involvement and intention, can it still be classified as “creative”? On the other hand, quite a number of digital artists regard AI as an ally in their creative process rather than a rival. By mixing human vision and technology, the creators can reach new areas of story-telling, abstraction, and feelings. AI Impact on the Art World Digital art has been made accessible to the masses with the use of AI power that opened up the world of digital art to the less-than-skilled. Also, it has impacted the establishment and growth of new markets, like the NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) where the art made by AI being sold as one-of-a-kind digital asset. Moreover, the museums and galleries have got algorithmic exhibitions, and AI-based design methods are being taught in the educational institutions. fine arts and tech have been together in the future, and their relationship will be deepening even more as far as the online age is concerned. To sum up, Artificial Intelligence is a game-changer in the creative sphere. AI and artists will not be competing; on the contrary, the former will be the latter’s source of inspiration, and new tools for innovation and experimentation will be the result. The digital art will surely take the machine-assisted creativity to the next level and at the same time, foster even stronger bonds between technology, creativity, and humanity.
