There is an AfD discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cneoridium dumosum (Nuttall) Hooker F. Collected March 26, 1960 etc. which may be of interest to this Wikiproject. The full name of the article under question is Cneoridium dumosum (Nuttall) Hooker F. Collected March 26, 1960, at an Elevation of about 1450 Meters on Cerro Quemazón, 15 Miles South of Bahía de Los Angeles, Baja California, México, Apparently for a Southeastward Range Extension of Some 140 Miles, and was nominated on November 12, 2025
[edit]They nommed it there then. Randy Kryn (talk) 07:17, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Expansion of Echinopsis
[edit]PoWO now accepts a broad circumscription of Echinopsis, apparently based on de Vos et al. (2025),[1] which offers a full revised classification of the family Cactaceae. In particular, Lobivia, Trichocereus, Soehrensia, and Chamaecereus are all now subsumed into Echinopsis. I think the first three at least should be treated as historically recognized genera if we follow PoWO (as we usually do, and it seems to be based on a major paper). I've sorted out Lobivia and Trichocereus, but need to get back to some other stuff rather than tackle Soehrensia right now. I hope someone here has time and energy to work on this!
