Recreation?[edit]How is this different from WP:GLAM/SI? Disavian (talk) 15:54, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
I agree it should be integrated with the renamed "Wikipedia:GLAM/SI". It's too much of a distinction to the bystander; and we are losing an opportunity to attract wider community besides the residents of the institution. « Saper // @talk » 10:20, 3 April 2012 (UTC) Women in Science[edit]By coincidence, I queried the Smithonian "Women in science" Flickr entries, and made a list. Some links are broken, and there are men too, but it seems to relate to this project, so feel free to use it or move content here. --Magnus Manske (talk) 08:25, 17 April 2012 (UTC) Image licensing[edit]Over on the GLAM/Smithsonian Institution Archives/Requests page it says that any images found on the SI archives website may be uploaded to the Commons. I was just wondering what license we should use when uploading. Are all of the images public domain? Thanks for any advice. --Glorioussandwich (talk) 19:27, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
David Crockett Graham[edit]I assume this is an appropriate place to make a connection with the Smithsonian Wikipedian in Residence. I have been working on research and writing on David Crockett Graham since last fall. In late May someone posted a very brief sketch of a page for him in Wikipedia. I noticed it in early June and decided to post my work. It's not complete, but I think it is respectable. Could you review it, give it an appropriate rating, and add any categories or links that you deem appropriate for Smithsonian related individuals? I am continuing work on it and expect to fill out the remaining sections in the coming months. Thank you. choogendyk (talk) 02:32, 12 July 2012 (UTC) Opposition to page move?[edit]Is there any opposition to moving these pages to reflect the full name of the organization (Smithsonian Institution Archives)? I think abbreviations should be reserved for redirects, and that way (when browsing categories or project pages) readers know which institution is being referred to. --Another Believer (Talk) 17:33, 16 April 2013 (UTC) That makes sense to me. Thanks for doing that. --74.92.146.121 (talk) 14:31, 29 April 2013 (UTC) Suggestion to remove this project from the WPUS template[edit]A user that is not affiliated to GLAM or WikiProject United States has started a discussion at Template talk:WikiProject United States#Suggestion to remove GLAM projects from WPUS template to remove all of the GLAM projects from the WPUS template. Since the user notified WikiProject United States but not this one I wanted to let you know. Kumioko (talk) 16:58, 12 June 2013 (UTC) In the second paragraph article: "Ion thrusters' exhaust velocity are often in the range of 15–50 kilometres per second (1,500–5,100 s), and will have a specific thrust usually below a newton per tonne. Thruster efficiency may reach 60–80%." But Input power: 1 to 7 kilowatts Exhaust velocity: 20 to 50 kilometers per second Thrust: 20 to 250 millinewtons Efficiency: 60 to 80 percent. Vyacheslav84 (talk) 12:59, 11 March 2014 (UTC) Combine projects[edit]Is there any reason the Archives has a separate project from Wikipedia:GLAM/Smithsonian Institution? Wouldn't it make more sense to have a single/project for coordination? czar 21:02, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
