Project WikiProject Kansas City Chiefs was formed on January 21, 2008 originally as a subproject of the NFL Project. This project is dedicated to expanding all things Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs and the franchise's roots in the American Football League. There will be an emphasis on the history, records, statistics, players, coaches, and contributors to the greatest franchise in the National Football League. After months of working as a subproject under the WikiProject National Football League, I decided to re-launch the project as a stand-alone work so that we can make the Kansas City Chiefs's articles some of Wikipedia's premier sources of information. If you feel that you can help out in this project, please become a member by joining the list of members. All help is welcome, even fans of rival teams in the NFL. The only way to make Wikipedia great, especially forever preserving the NFL's excellence on this website, we need to work together as fans professional football. Click here for the discussion area. Under new head coach Todd Haley and general manager Scott Pioli, the Chiefs will attempt to clinch their first playoff berth since the 2006 season under the leadership of newly-acquired quarterback Matt Cassel. Goals The project aims primarily to: Create and expand the coverage of articles whose content is connected to the Kansas City Chiefs organization. Set up consistent structural and graphical layouts for displaying information on these articles. Other goals include: Protect against Vandalism. Bring as much content about the Chiefs to featured article status. Maintenance of the American football Portal. Parentage The Kansas City Chiefs WikiProject was created as a team subproject of WikiProject National Football League and a branch WikiProject of WikiProject Kansas City on January 21, 2008. The NFL project's source Wikiproject is WikiProject Sports, while the Kansas City project's source WikiProject is WikiProject Missouri.
