"Purple Hibiscus" originates from a fake track list for Damn.[2] It's not a real song is not currently mentioned in either article. मल्ल (talk) 21:58, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Purple Hibiscus (song), Trust Everyone, Counterfeit (Kendrick Lamar song), None of Your Business (Kendrick Lamar song), Richard Nixon (Kendrick Lamar song), Product (Kendrick Lamar song), Double Standards (song), Double Standards (Kendrick Lamar song), Commercialized, Failed Experiments, If You Had Me, You Lost Me (Interlude), If You Had Me, You Lost Me, Swim with the Fishes (God Said), Rest in Paradise (Interlude), Rest in Paradise, Paranoia, Is Love Stronger Than Death?, Ten Steps (Kendrick Lamar song), Ten Steps (song), and Ten Steps also originate from the fake track listing. मल्ल (talk) 22:06, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ten Steps (song) can be retargeted to The Chase (Marit Larsen album). Double Standards (song) could be DABified, On Purpose, with Purpose, Life of a Don, The Smartest, and Control System are all plausible targets. मल्ल (talk) 22:18, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Niceness is not unanimously considered to be a synonym of kindness as the sources and the article itself does not correlate the two nor does the kindness article even mention the word "nice". That, and the word niceness is also associated pleasure, as mentioned in the hatnote. I instead propose turning this redirect into a disambiguation page that lists kindness and pleasure. Though other options could be discussed. Cacophonic peace (talk) 14:29, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Confused redirect, why we need to compare tsunami and hurricane? A1Cafel (talk) 13:25, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Restore the original without prejudice to AfD. That looked more like an essay than a Wikipedia article, but it doesn't meet any speedy deletion criteria and so should be discussed as an article. Thryduulf (talk) 15:30, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, agreeing with Bkonrad who called the content "useless". Natural disaster is probably the closest target available because it covers both tsunamis and hurricanes, but there isn't a comparison between them. I don't think there should be one anyway, they're vastly different phenomena. -- Tavix (talk) 15:34, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete per above. drinks or coffee or prime *GET OUT* 15:59, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Tavix and edit summary by Bkonrad. I see no value in restoring the 2011 version and then going through an AfD. --MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 22:55, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore and send to AfD The specific topic may not be notable, but comparing various kinds of natural disasters appears to be, and if there is really no content about that, then there probably should be,[3][4][5] so discussion at AfD appears appropriate. Paradoctor (talk) 13:39, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
oh my black goat of the woods with a thousand young you actually did some checking. i mean, i still disagree with the sources, but it's a big step forward. here are my notes on the sources themselves
    • the first one is a top whatever many list. not really usable for comparing them beyond which one has the biggest numbers (in this case, which one is more dangerous). tsunamis are #6, tornadoes are #7, and the word "hurricane" isn't mentioned in the article at all
    • the second one is just about natural disasters in general, and doesn't bother to compare them either
    • either i'm walled out by something, or the third one is just kinda nothing
i'll also disagree with restoring here, in that you're not voting to restore an article to then add potentially usable stuff to it (regardless of how much i think it's not usable), but to restore an essay in a faulty title which you then want to see an article created on top of... so why not just create one from scratch at a better title? consarn (grave) (obituary) 20:47, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
and the word "hurricane" isn't mentioned in the article at all That'd be because it's under the heading "Cyclones"-- a hurricane, a cyclone, and a typhoon are the same type of storm, only differentiated by geographical location (although 'tropical storm/tropical cyclone' is the generic term for all three).
    ...That's it, that's all I wanted to pop in to point out :3 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 21:12, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The sources were the first three hits on my first query. There is a ton more. The point being that comparing disaster classes is, prima facie, widespread, and it is a subject of academic research.
One motivation for sending stuff to AfD is motivating a wider audience to find existing content or to create it, which would then serve as target. If not, c'est la vie, but at least we tried. Paradoctor (talk) 22:46, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, but consarn's final point still holds merit-- this feels like something that should be done from scratch, and either started yourself or, if you really want to get others' help for it, you could take the concept to WP:AfC. Gonna finally throw my hat in the ring here-- and say that this, the redirect as it stands, merits deletion. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 23:34, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
honestly, i'm just gonna deny the "wider audience" argument from here on out. not long ago, an article that went through this exact kind of discussion was restored despite being unambiguously not good, i nommed it on afd as should've been done straight after restoration, it got one vote after two relists, and was still only soft deleted as a prod. more participation is not guaranteed, and banking on the chance has the necessary drawback of restoring content that, in this case, blatantly violates wp:n and wp:not for at least a week (provided wp:snow or a csd don't end up applying)
and honestly, that case is pretty comparable to this one, since sources have been found and can be shown here, as were found then, shown then, and evaluated then (if admittedly by someone who has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to south korean video editing software). if you found "a ton more", i'd like to see it, so that it may be used as material for a draft or a new article without taking this headache to another venue for what amounts to no reason consarn (grave) (obituary) 00:16, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete. it was an essay. an unsourced essay. an unsourced essay written in an entirely informal tone, suggesting that it was someone's homework. it's also a case of wp:xy, as tsunamis are angry water and hurricanes are angry wind. they can be together, and usually are, but they're different things, and comparisons between them really aren't in our scope without sigcov consarn (grave) (obituary) 20:39, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
and usually are I'd say no? Tsunamis are usually the result of undersea earthquakes, while hurricanes are instead caused by... well, we have an entire article on that, but suffice to say earthquakes aren't involved. That said, I suppose it's not out of the question that a hurricane could cause a tsunami... but I'm no meteorologist, so.
Of course, that just serves to underscore your main point that they're vastly different things. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 21:21, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per ip 135 - Ascii art of a corporate logo isn't really a strong basis for a redirect, and it's ambiguous enough for it to to be astonishing. I think the disambiguation content suggested here is too nebulous to create a proper dab page, but I don't oppose anyone taking a stab at it if one was created. • Delete both per nom. The fact that Pokémon/Kadabra both is an unlikely search term and has no edit history other than being a redirect means it should be good to delete. Steel1943 (talk) 21:10, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Pokémon/Kadabra. We don't delete redirects from 2004 without very good reasons, and mere implausibility isn't a good enough reason to trash a bit of our early history; either this dates from the WP:Subpages#History of subpages era, or it's very soon afterward. (Also, note that it was created by a pagemove, so it may predate 2004; neither Kadabra nor Kadabara goes back to February 2004, so I don't know its actual creation date.) This was not an erroneous article creation but a page title in line with contemporary standards; we wouldn't delete AustraliA or UnitedStates on implausibility grounds, since they too complied with the CamelCase page title standards required before free links were enabled. Bulbasaur is just a weird creation, since we didn't support subpages in 2021; just delete it. Nyttend (talk) 22:19, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Pagelogs for Kadabra show that it was moved to Abra evolutionary line in 2007 as part of a history merge, which may have obscured the details of the move. Jay 💬 17:20, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Woollies. If this were an alternate name, I could see disambiguating or otherwise maintaining a reference to Safeway, but it's an advertising slogan in current use by one of the country's most prominent retailers, so I'm comfortable saying that most searchers will be thinking of the current chain, not the defunct one. Australia's had a vast amount of immigration in the last eight years (including me), so there's a huge number of people who frequently see Woollies and their advertisements but who never encountered a Safeway or their advertisements. Nominating per WP:FORRED. This is the Yiddish language word for Moscow, but Moscow's name is not of Yiddish origin. ArthananWarcraft (talk) 17:11, 18 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: There are many cities in Eastern Europe with Yiddish names such as Lviv. Thepharoah17 (talk) 17:22, 18 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The article on Lviv says "Lviv was also a major centre of Jewish culture, in particular as a centre of the Yiddish language, and was the home of the world's first Yiddish-language daily newspaper, the Lemberger Togblat, established in 1904." That shows a strong connection between Lviv and Yiddish and justifies a redirect from Lviv's Yiddish name (also mentioned in the article). Unless a similar connection is demonstrated for Moscow, this redirect should be deleted. Toadspike [Talk] 18:45, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget per Casablanca. My conditional delete does not apply anymore but I'd still prefer to redirect to the more specific article of the two. Warudo (talk) 14:07, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, unlikely to use Yiddish on the English Wikipedia to search for a Russian city. We don't have Spanish redirects for every one of the hundreds of thousands of pages about Spanish topics; the Spanish Wikipedia is the location one would expect redirects in that language. Zero need for this redirect. Person has just been announced by Trump as a judicial nominee. Otherwise, person is non notable unless and until confirmed. An article will be created in draft space in due course and will be moved to this location when/if the person is confirmed by the Senate. It is wholly unnecessary to create this redirect. This was merged into Methodist University at a point (and was moved from Tom Austin to Tom Austin (baseball)Tom Austin (baseball) as a redirect to preserve history), but it is in no way mentioned at Methodist University right now. Without a mention, this redirect makes little sense. Casablanca 🪨(T) 01:31, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Spinal cord injuries do not cause paralysis, as in most cases IIRC spinal cord injuries are relatively easy to fix with surgery (with only relatively mild in comparison pain after).
