Question from Aaamkaaachaaar (16:10, 29 October 2025)
[edit]hello - sorry for the previous comment.
I came across this article, and was suggested that it needs to be updated?
I am a bit confused as to what kind of edits to make to update this - does this mean listing down commercial non-fiction books on the energy industry? I would really appreciate it if you could advice me how to go about it! --Aaamkaaachaaar (talk) 16:10, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- Aaamkaaachaaar, not sure what article you are referring to - if you tell me the name of the article, I could give some tips about how to update it. Zoozaz1 (talk) 11:50, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- hello so sorry i guess i forgot to add the link, but im referring to the wikipedia article titled "List of books about the energy industry" - how do i decide which books, is there a criteria? Aaamkaaachaaar (talk) 17:26, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- Aaamkaaachaaar, Generally, if the book has a Wikipedia article, it makes sense to add it, even if it's a commercial non-fiction book. If it doesn't have a Wikipedia article, I would suggest adding it only if it is a particularly important book. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:06, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from KingDaveEast (14:03, 5 November 2025)
[edit]How do I make this page official --KingDaveEast (talk) 14:03, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
- KingDaveEast, not sure what page you are referring to - if it's your userpage, it's official and online but not really searchable for most people, since it's an internal wikipedia page. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:27, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Is linking text to another article considered a minor change? And as well as like adding new sentences or grammatical changes? --Ramo1122 (talk) 22:47, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
- Ramo1122, hmm, generally linking text to another article would be minor, as well as grammatical changes. Adding new sentences might not be minor. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:29, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Lebootimes (19:46, 8 November 2025)
[edit]Hello I hope you are well. I would like to publish an article about a person, I have references and would like your input if it meets criteria. Thank you. --Lebootimes (talk) 19:46, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Lebootimes, take a look at WP:BLP and WP:YFA. After you read through that, you can submit your article at WP:AFC. I'm not sure what your article is, so I can't provide specific input however. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:47, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I looked everything over multiple times however I just want to confirm if the article will be good by an expert. If it's not too much, can I send you a draft with references so you can give me your input? Sorry, I am new to this. Lebootimes (talk) 23:15, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Lebootimes, I reccomend creating a page here on Wikipedia named Draft:Article title, putting your article there, and then sharing the name so I can look it over. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I created Draft:Ali R. Jaber. Hopefully everything is correct. Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out. Lebootimes (talk) 00:00, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
- Lebootimes, I'd recommend removing the amazon link, adding a bit more content, and making the article a bit less promotional-sounding before submitting for AfC review. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:41, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
- I took your recommendations and made necessary adjustments. I just submitted for review. Thank you very much for your time and expertise. Lebootimes (talk) 01:14, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Cashpeso1267 (15:04, 9 November 2025)
[edit]I have a question im on mobile using safari and i want to create a article but i dont know how --Cashpeso1267 (talk) 15:04, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
- Cashpeso1267, I suggest scrolling to the bottom and then pressing the desktop button, it might help. Either way, first read through WP:YFA, and thereafter create an article through WP:AFC. Zoozaz1 (talk) 17:20, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
Question from PurpleSugarLoaf (04:00, 12 November 2025)
[edit]- Note: PurpleSugarLoaf's mentor GrayStorm is away.
Hello, Graystorm. I asked this question in the Teahouse. But if you have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
My draft article on Herman Richard Kissner Dietz, 19th century artist, was first declined as LLM-generated, then for citation formatting, and now, by a Wikipedia art expert, for original research. At this stage, should I just give up on it, or is there any remaining path forward? PurpleSugarLoaf (talk) 03:45, 12 November 2025 (UTC) --PurpleSugarLoaf (talk) 04:00, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- PurpleSugarLoaf, if it's declined for specific reasons, there's no need to give up, just fix the issues identified and re-submit. Zoozaz1 (talk) 11:28, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Question from Lebootimes (17:39, 13 November 2025)
[edit]Hi! I could use your guidance regarding the article you previously reviewed while it was still in AfC.
I moved the draft to mainspace before the AfC process finished, and another editor later removed several of the sources that were originally present. After that cleanup, the same editor nominated the article for deletion (AfD).
Some of the removed sources were independent Lebanese news outlets (Addiyar, Beirut Tribune, SpotLeb, LebTalks, Bimawdou3ia), which appear to provide original journalistic coverage and not PR material. Because they were removed right before the AfD, the article now looks less supported.
Since you are familiar with the draft from AfC, I want to ask:
What improvements should I focus on during the AfD discussion to address the concerns?
Thank you—I’m trying to follow policy correctly and improve the article as needed. --Lebootimes (talk) 17:39, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Lebootimes, hmm, note that notability doesn't depend on the sources cited in the article exactly, but rather the existence of certain sources to demonstrate notability - so if those sources meet the criteria, you could mention them in AfD debate. I think you've presented your case in the AfD discussion, so you'll just have to wait and see what other editors think. At the end of the day, if the subject doesn't meet our notability critereon, then unfortunately it will be deleted regardless of changes you make to the article, at least until more coverage appears. - Juan Mwas, take a look at Help:Introduction to editing with VisualEditor for a good guide. Zoozaz1 (talk) 01:56, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
Hi, thank you for your time; I'm gradually getting the hang of this. I'm polishing some of the text. What concerns me is the AI warning at the top of the article. I checked and double checked reference; I wrote the text. I did run some passages (only passages, and very few) by Perplexity to check if they would meet Wikipedia standards. Whatever it suggested, I rephrased or added to it – I didn't copy/paste. That warning really comes as a blow. --DLVDJ (talk) 20:52, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
- DLVDJ, hello. Don't worry too much about tags, they aren't too serious. They're just added by individual editors to provide suggestions for improvement, but if you know that it's not applicable, feel free to remove it. Zoozaz1 (talk) 03:00, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Many thanks for taking the time, much appreciated. All sorted.
- Best wishes from chilly France. DLVDJ (talk) 11:10, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
