Philippine Name Template

[edit]

Hi there, I see you have been adding/editing on Biographies of Filipina articles using the Philippine name template. The Featured Articles you have edited went through a rigorous review from editors and they have found no issues with its exclusion. Please do not revert.

I think every Filipina BLP articles won't need this as it clutters the top of the page.

Thanks Pseud 14 (talk) 19:35, 1 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the template exists, so you might want to request for the template's deletion instead if you think it clutters the top of BLP pages. Just a suggestion. Thanks. signed, Pat talk 05:22, 2 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

My sincerest apologies for the very late response. For some reason, my notifications were unintentionally turned off, so I only received them now. Nevertheless, your requested additions to Portal:Current events/2026 February 28 have been completed. signed, Pat talk 07:53, 21 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Concert tours of the Cayman Islands indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 17:54, 30 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

About the Current Events Portal...

[edit]

WP:RUNOFTHEMILL isn't a rulebook to follow lmao and it isn't specific to the current events portal. You see deadly accidents on the current events portal every 1.5 days on average. Are you going to revert them all now? Alexysun (talk) 12:39, 14 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for your message.
1. Regarding WP:RUNOFTHEMILL, you're partly right. While it's not a rulebook in itself, it's one of the principles behind WP:NOTABILITY that guides editors regarding which events can and should be added to the current events portal. Yes, you're also right in saying it's not specific to the portal, but the portal has its specific notability guideline as well that is guided by the notability guideline for articles.
2. "You see deadly accidents on the current events portal every 1.5 days on average. Are you going to revert them all now?" Haha. Allow me to clarify what I meant. What I wanted to emphasize is the consistency of not adding such a statistic (i.e., a monthly national road incident casualty statistic) into the portal. As you know, not everything we see in the news should be added to the portal to avoid a plethora that may affect the portal's readability and navigation. As such, we normally add such a statistic only if it is a record of any kind, which must be explicitly stated in the source. By removing your edit about Bangladesh, I'm simply just ensuring the portal's consistency. As for individual deadly accidents, it's normal to add them into the portal for as long as it's of international interest as per the posting policies and guidelines. Likewise, we can't add every deadly accident, particularly if they aren't of international interest.
My apologies for the lack of clarity in my edit summary when I reverted your edit, but I hope these clarify your concerns. signed, Pat talk 02:47, 15 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
