@Orangesclub, the false flag theory should be included, but you might be right about labelling it "misinformation". Possibly the better fix is to find the section a more neutral title? Maybe "disputed versions of events" or "Misinformation and unverified information" but neither of those are ideal, can you think of any better labels for the section? Sorry, didn't see the note on your user page; I came straight to your talk page. Bit I mostly agree with you, so not "telling you off" as such. LateNightCoffee (talk) 20:16, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Don’t worry, I think this sort of thing warrants a conversation. I think for now I would agree the section could be renamed but currently I’m not sure how to do that without also blurring the lines with the responses section. orangesclub 🍊 06:07, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Currently I have put it in the Aftermath section in a new subsection called "Speculation and accusations". The only other example currently in the main part of that is Susan Ley. Then there's a subsection within that for "criticism" because some of the other examples focused on the response more than the original statement. There might be more examples that could be moved to there in the sections "Commentary from overseas" and "Misinformation".
  • The "Speculation and accusations" section would cover any comments that say the main culprit is any person / group other than than Sajid Akram or Naveed Akram, and any ideology / movement other than ISIS.
  • The "Misinformation" section can be for simple factual claims that are proven false.
I think those sections / categories could work, but I'm not sure what order to put the sections in within the "Aftermath" section.

My edit on article "Katseye" from February 21, 2026

[edit]

Hi, I just saw your note that you left on my edit. Thank you for reverting it, I thought it would be a relevant update to add information on a member's status, but thinking about it now, it would actually be better to leave the article as is.
