Re: User:Ste4k/VER
Well if I remember right, User:Ste4k was very strongly against the verifiability policy and therefore created the list of people who edited it. The user was banned in July 2006 and Ste4k hasn't done anything horrible to the people on the list so it's nothing to worry about. What I am worried about is the deletion of the user and the talk pages of a user who has substantial history ... I'll undelete them now. Graham87 04:37, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Spelling?
What spelling did I Americanise? It is not something that I naturally do, preferring English/Australian spelling of words. Stellar (talk) 11:32, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:AdolfReichwein.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:AdolfReichwein.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Kelly hi! 00:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

"destructive" edits
I don't think the word "destructive" is appropriate for what I did to the Eibenstock article. I removed an ugly red link to an image that wasn't available in English wikipedia or Commons, that's all. I remember one article that was in an even worse state: Johanngeorgenstadt. Since those images haven't been added yet, you can still see here how it looked. I do appreciate that you improved those articles, though. If you don't want other editors to remove links to images you're going to add in the future, I suggest you comment them out like this: <!-- [[Image:Pferdegöpel-Johannstadt.jpg]] to be uploaded soon -->. Markussep Talk 18:32, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh come on, I did not butcher or destroy articles. If you want people to cooperate, you shouldn't attack them like that. The way you left the articles Eibenstock and Johanngeorgenstadt (for several months) was not acceptable. You could have either commented the missing images out or actively asked other users (for instance at de:) to upload specific files. But I see you did it yourself now, that's OK, case closed. Luxembourg map
Something completely different: I noticed you made a nice map of Luxembourg: Image:LuxembourgOMCmap.png. To me the choice of towns to show on the map is a bit strange: some of the larger towns, like Mersch, Grevenmacher, Bettembourg and Echternach are not on it, and villages that are basically not more than three farms, like Grundhof and Bockholz-lès-Hosingen are shown (but not Hosingen itself). Is it easy for you to change the map? Markussep Talk 21:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Good! Places I would like to see on the map (and that aren't there now) are Mersch, Grevenmacher, Bettembourg, Echternach, Vianden, Schifflange, Mamer, Arlon (B), Bitburg (D), Clervaux, Redange, Remich. Places that can be removed: Grundhof, Bockholz-lès-Hosingen, Schlindermanderscheid, Rollingen, Eschette, Elvange-l-B, Mertert, Hachiville, Niederdonven and Oberdonven. Markussep Talk 20:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the new map. All the larger places are on it now. Is it easy to add rivers? The Alzette would fit nicely IMO. Actually, I would prefer a bigger font for the place names, rather than more places (those places on my "remove" list are really small and not very relevant, they can go IMO). See the Geography of Luxembourg article for instance. Markussep Talk 14:26, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry to express myself in so few words. I hope it didn't sound impolite. I'm really really really really busy. In fact, though, WP:DGAF is extremely useful to a large number of Wikipedians. It is a serious essay. Thanks! Ling.Nut (talk) 15:50, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

re:Pronunciation of "Witham"
I'm rather unsure myself. I think you are right, but I've never ventured up to Witham (I live down on the south coast of Essex), and the town is not a topic that's come up in conversation much. I believe you're right in that I would pronounce it as if to rhyme with "bit 'em", but whether that's how you're meant to pronounce it, I'b afraid that I'm not much good for verifying that. -- Sabre (talk) 10:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Kreis Bergstraße
In English the category would be Bergstraße or Bergstraße (district). Greetings. Sebastian scha. (talk) 05:04, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Even if the article has a wrong name. ,-) Look at all the other Kreise they are called Fulda (district) not Kreis Fulda, even in the template Kreis Bergstraße is called Bergstraße a.s.o. But this is not my concern and not my place. If you like you can request a move of this cat. Sebastian scha. (talk) 05:12, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Facade
The cedilla is not really necessary when used as an English word - see, for example, the style guide of the major British newspaper The Guardian - though I'll grant that the OED does give that as it's preferred spelling. David Underdown (talk) 10:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I've just come here to your page to make that same comment. I see from your user page that you are Canadian. That probably accounts for some sensitivity as to how words of French derivation are used. But I can assure you that facade was adopted as an English architectural term more than 100 years ago. On the other hand, the "hall church" which is rare in England, may still be referred to by the German name, as they are common there. Amandajm (talk) 10:55, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, regarding this picture which you took, Image:Moulindedaudet1.jpg, do you have any information on approximate date and/or location for the picture? Image licensing
Hey there...
I am trying to clean up some of the images with minor licensing issues and I came across Image:Icefall.jpg which is only used on your userpage. If you are going to use the image, could you go and fix the licensing on the image page and be clear about releasing the image under a GFDL license (or another free license). Thanks. If you have any questions, please drop me a note on my talk page. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 21:47, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Friedrich Wilhelm August Froebel
Please return this page to the English spelling as this is the English language version of wikipedia - Fröbel is not the usual English spelling - although Kindergarten has been in the Oxford dictionary since 1852 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.2.40.185 (talk) 23:11, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- "Froebel" is the spelling that's used if the "ö" character is unavailable, but here on Wikipedia, most any special letter character is available. Have a look around the English-language Wikipedia. Plenty of people and places in German-speaking Europe have "ä", "ö", "ü" or "ß" in their titles. We use them here, whether anonymous editors like it or not. Why should I return the Fröbel article to its original, ignorant spelling? "Fröbel" is how he spelt his name.Kelisi (talk) 02:02, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Your enthusiasm for German umlauts is admirable but in this context amounts to vandalism. For over 150 year his name has been written in English as Froebel, which is how it appears in dictonaries, Encylopedias and the many institutions named in his honor. Please revert to the most recognised form of his name in English - which is I believe Wikipedia policy. Your pedantry is simply confusing to the masses and degrades the utility of Wikipedia. Fred20x (talk) 05:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
I refer you to Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Use_English_words and the more detailed explanation at Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(use_English). Specifically, "Name your pages in English and place the native transliteration on the first line of the article unless the native form is more commonly recognized by readers than the English form. The choice between anglicized and native spellings should follow English usage . . . Sometimes the usual English version will differ somewhat from the local form as in Franz Josef Strauss; and rarely, as with Mount Everest, it will be completely different." Redirect of Bütlowstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Bütlowstraße (Berlin U-Bahn), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Bütlowstraße (Berlin U-Bahn) is a nonsense redirect page formed as a result of the reversion of page move vandalism (CSD G3).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Bütlowstraße (Berlin U-Bahn), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hello, I saw you edited quite a bit of the article I started. I don't object with any of the changes, but was wondering if there had to be any change if it was just the dialect of English changed. I don't really think it sounded all to 'awkward', but I do not hide the fact I am not a native English speaker. You know those Germans are perfectionists ;-) - Da war doch gar nicht wirklich so viel falsch dran, oder? Greetings Olaf Fritz (talk) 23:02, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Health care or healthcare? Long term or longterm?
Hi! Who is deciding what kind of English that is used? To the Bhopal disaster site, I have copied texts from my book, that are language checked by a South African friend of mine (professional). Many others have also been corrected by you. I am used to read health care and long term also in other texts. As I understand, there are many variations in English. Is the Canadian English the same as the USA English? Definitely not the same as the British English, probably not the same as Australian.14:39, 5 March 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ineck (talk • contribs)

Whoa!
I have started this page!!!! And I have been working on this page off and on. Vandalism!!! is a rather harsh statement. Right now it seems a lot of terms you are using don't make any sense to an US reader. It would be very much appreciated if you go to the discussion page and ask why certain terms are being used on this page.
By the way Regierungsbezirk certainly isn't a term people would use in the US nor would they understand. Since I started this page I would like to continue working on it and would love to have a version any person can understand. Please discuss before making major changes since it is very disrespectful.
Since I grew up in Lohr I should know more about Lohr then what is published on the .de page.

Changes to Infobox German location template.
No it doesn't look dreadful. Having a map the same size as a coat of arms looks dreadul. Pushpin maps are not supposed to be rendered as small as 100px. Funny how nobody showed a concern before and when the change is made people start fussing. The current layout is exactly how virtually every othe rinfobox on wikipedia for settlements in rendered. Are you saying that all the other infoboxes look awful? Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:17, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Conformity and consistency is neccesarily a big thing. The more consistent our layout and articles (and quality) are on wikipedia the better. Even non standrd boxes like Amalfi in Italy etc have the coat of arms above and the map a decent size below. A 100 px with a fat bloated pin locator which is half the size of the actual region in Germany is a very inaccurate map and rendered as small as the coat of arms means that the map is pretty useless. May I ask precisely what it is that you think is dreadful about the infobox? I would have no objection to reducing the map size a little perhaps to 180px but surely you don't think 100px is a good size for a pin map? Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:46, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Thats the one thing I agree with you on its the map size. It looks a little bigger than I expected even at 220px I agree, not awful though, just a little too big. I would recommend we reduce it down to 170-180px. As for the pin point. Well the thinner pin is better than the same one at a fat size, but the general consensus for settlements on wikipedia seems to be using this red dot as unfortunate it may appear to you. 12:05, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Just noticed one of your translations
I just noticed one of your translations. Just a little heads up - we have for some time always translated Gemeinde with municipality. There is a whole list of terms and other info at Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Conventions. It would most likely also be of benefit if you join Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany and watchlist the page for discussion concerning Germany related subjects. Agathoclea (talk) 12:05, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- No worries it will get picked up sometime. As far as you comments on the "lesser" goes: In Wales there are Town and Community Councils. But legally all Town Councils are Community Councils, still you would not call those that are just Community Council lesser Community Councils. Same applies to Germany - Towns are municipalities from a legal point of few. But the extra responsibilities and rights they have give them the term Town/City instead. This brings me to something else. only Towns over 100k inhabitants are called cities in Germany-related wikipedia articles. But have a look at St David's just for a laugh. Image permission problem with Image:Colombiamap.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Colombiamap.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 08:22, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Commander Crabb
Hi Can you confirm for me your posting regarding Crabb where you mention my father Arthur William Tomkins. I'm just intrigued because my father was friendly with Crabb and his mate Maitland Pendock, as was my mother. I'm just interested as to where you came across his name? He did once tell me when I was a kid that he had worked for Naval Intelligence and I know that he worked at the War Office in London during the first world war. My mother tells me that she was specifically told by Maitland to say that Crabb was going to Portsmouth should anyone ask.
Just be good to know how you came across my father's name. He dided in 1977 though my mother, who was many years younger, is still alive.
Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snikmot (talk • contribs) 16:50, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

- Hi Kelsi, just happened to be walking by and saw this question so did a little digging - Tomkins's name was added on 8 Novemer 2008 in this edit. At some point someone asked for a citation and the statement was removed with this edit as lacking a citation since November. A quick search of [ "Lionel Crabb" Arthur Tomkins ] turns up "Frogman spy: the incredible case of Commander Crabb", aka "Frogman Extraordinary 'The Commander Crabb Case'", with no apparent ISBN, Google teaser here Hope this helps, CliffC (talk) 22:06, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Map of New Zealand
I noticed a few misspellings at File:NZOMC.PNG, and wondered if you could fix them and upload a new version.
- At the northern point of the map, Cape Reinga is misspelled as "Cape Reigna".
- At the southern end, Stewart Island/Rakiura is the official name of the island, not "Stewart Island". I realise that this is a sensitive point for some, but as you have named Aoraki/Mount Cook correctly I think the map should be consistent.
- It might just be my monitor/eyesight, but it appears you have "Pakin" instead of Pakiri about half-way between Auckland and Whangarei. However, Pakiri is tiny; more substantial settlements in the area are Warkworth and Wellsford.
In general, I think it's more important to list towns with a substantial population than localities which fill a blank spot on the map. For Northland, for example, you list the localities Mitimiti and Titoki but not the towns Kaikohe, Kerikeri and Kaitaia. Kaikohe is the site of the Far North District Council, so it has importance beyond its population size although its the least populous of the three. Mitimiti does not have a Wikipedia article, although the article on Matihetihe does cover the area to some extent (it's one of the few places in Northland that I haven't visited and I'm not sure if it's appropriate to create a redirect from the former to the latter. My guideline is to create articles only for localities which have at least a primary school; Mitimiti does not have one).
I think we do need a more detailed map of New Zealand than the existing File:New Zealand towns and cities copy.jpg, and thank you for creating one.-gadfium 02:00, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I stumbled upon your user page and was wondering if you could offer any tips for creating locator maps... where do you get the 'base' map and what program do you use to fill in the colours? Colipon+(Talk) 23:56, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- It will likely come as no surprise to you that the Chinese censors – for I am in China – will not let me reach any of your userpages. This made me deeply suspicious, especially as your message appeared soon after I edited an article about a well known Chinese figure. However, I have managed to determine that you mainly, if not almost exclusively, edit articles about China, and the article titles – for I could not see the text – suggest that they are on the official no-no list. Oh well, things will change one day.
- As to your actual question, it's all explained on my userpage. There are links there to the two mapmaking sites that I use, OMC and OSM. For licences, just look at the examples on the image pages. They never seem to be seriously questioned and I believe they are legitimate. The only thing that I haven't mentioned on my userpage is that I use MicroSoft Paint to manipulate the maps (ie stitching smaller maps together to make bigger ones, changing the colours [for the default colours – especially in OMC – are putrid], inserting text and so forth).
- So, give those two sites a try. I hope that helps.

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of films portraying paedophilia or sexual abuse of minors. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of films portraying paedophilia or sexual abuse of minors. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Thanks for uploading File:Julius_Fucík.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Karte Dabrun in Deutschland.png

A tag has been placed on File:Karte Dabrun in Deutschland.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - My spelling is often sadly lacking. My English expression, fortunately, is not ... but yes, I/we all make slips of grammar and the like occasionally. (Maybe you don't.) Luckily there are people like you on Wikipedia who are excellent at spotting such errors and at putting them right. I truly value the input of people who see things that pass me by. Luckily some observant person swooped on "payed" immediately, because I might not have noticed it at all. However, while I admire your abilities such as precision and dedication, I must advise that it is generally considered more effective (and certainly more polite) to make spot corrections to minor problems of spelling and grammar, rather than blanket reversals which destroy otherwise pertinent edits.

'Exotic'
"Please, if you are questioning a usage, do so on the Talk page. Don't put strange marks in the article itself" - I am afraid I have no idea what you are referring to. Please indicate. The only time I remember using 'exotic' is in Variations of ordinaries
Mich Taylor (talk) 21:08, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
exotic - So; I have no idea what 'an exotic nationality' is, but I think the remark is objectionable so I put in a mark to show that; no discussion needed - and no one else has shown any interest! I was not questioning a usage but publicly condemning it. If people put in general statements then they need to exemplify it - and the only 'nationalities' I am terribly aware of in terms of heraldic heads are 'moor' 'blackamoor' and 'Saracen' - none of which are nationalities anyway and hardly exotic (except to people of very strange inclinations). I guess some Hungarian coats have odd heads being cut off tho' I am not quite sure whose. A pretty feeble piece anyway. No examples and surprisingly for heraldry no pictures - just unexmplified waffle!
"I see others took issue with some of your, in parts POV statements and reverted the whole edit but for this bit)" So? (What is POV? I have no idea - some of us are ordinary people and aren't great on acronyms)
One thing I am pretty sure of is that you can't be neutral about racism - the pillar with the green capital doesn't apply because anti-racism is not a single point of view.

Fair use rationale for File:ErwinPlanck.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ErwinPlanck.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:37, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

File source problem with File:LiloHerrmann.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:LiloHerrmann.jpg.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:27, 3 January 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 17:27, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Stefansson Island
Hi friend, I think a while ago you added to Stefansson Island that its highest peak is 290 meters. Can you still find the source? In the Atlas of Canada (map scale 1:40 000) I can't find a greater height than 267 meters. Greetings,--Ratzer (talk) 21:18, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that was almost five years ago, and I now have no idea where the information came from. Sorry.Kelisi (talk) 23:20, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I went ahead and changed the undocumented 290 meters to documented 267 meters. Thank you and greetings,--Ratzer (talk) 06:59, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Have you ever heard of assuming good faith? In other words, not jumping off the handle and leaving a message akin to the one you left me, in which you make asinine assumptions about my knowledge and my motivations, cast aspersions, and otherwise display a belligerent and insulting tone, which, quite frankly, I do not appreciate and will not tolerate. However, since you have decided to open our communications in this manner, allow me to reply in kind.
Since you have clearly examined the article history, you must have noticed that I have edited the article exactly 6 times in the last year-and-a-half, mostly to revert vandalism or remove irrelevant information. Last May, I copy-edited the plot section in order to remove ridiculous and inappropriate wording, and, in those edits, I did not change one single bit of "Commonwealth spelling," and yet, you reverted my edits with the edit summary "Reverting to last unbutchered version." I then reverted you. On 8 July, you substantially edited the article with a, to say the least, inaccurate edit summary of "Americanization is NOT NECESSARY," even though the majority of your edits had nothing to do with fixing the spelling to Commonwealth standards. Over the course of the month of July, there were numerous anon. edits which were, as anon. edits usually are, unhelpful, including unnecessary changes to the plot, something anonymous editors love to do, while offering no edit summaries to explain their changes. On 2 August, you reverted, with an edit summary of "Reverting anon users' edits, and folks, Americanization is STILL not necessary. Cut it out. It's against policy." There then followed two more anon. edits in August, in which the spelling was altered, again, with no edit summary. You reverted. There then followed your reversion of the good faith edits by Collinf, who was most likely merely ignorant of the differences in English spelling between the United States and England/the Commonwealth. But, I am sure that your message, as understanding and respectful as it was, set him straight. Pause to consider that he had edited the article in question only once before, and it was not to change the spelling. I did not edit the article again until 26 December, to copy-edit the plot, and, yes, in those edits, I did change some Commonwealth spelling. Mea culpa. I forgot that it was a Canadian film. However, if you pay attention to the diff. I have provided, you will see that it was the anon. editor who preceded me who made the majority of those spelling changes, and I only changed the couple that he missed. For the most part, my edits were cosmetic, and fixes to grammar: "Wheels and A.L. ... successfully rekindle their relationship..." rather than "rekindles their relationship," which, even in Canada, is incorrect. My next edit was on 11 January, to revert an inappropriate ext. link. In your most recent edit, you simply reinstated some unnecessary language along with your spelling changes, which could have been fixed without a revert. But, I guess you know best, or at least, that is the attitude you evince.
So, congrats! You're a contender for my editor-of-the-month award. Winners will be announced soon. Keep working on that winning personality. Cheers! ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 02:14, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:MysteriousGreyStripe.png
Thanks for uploading File:MysteriousGreyStripe.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

File:MysteriousGreyStripe.png needs authorship information.
The media file you uploaded as File:MysteriousGreyStripe.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Kelisi/Archive 2}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
or the {{own}} template..

Non-free rationale for File:Klausing3.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Klausing3.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Kuranda Scenic Railway photo gallery
If you check WP:IG you will notice that galleries are used when the images illustrate aspects of a subject that cannot be easily or adequately described by text or individual images. This means the gallery can't stay. It doesn't provide unique knowledge on the railway. Random collections of image do not belong on Wikipedia, in this case mountain scenery and unremarkable views from trains. As the text expands towards completion more photos can be added without looking over-balanced as it is with a bunch of photos tacked on the end of an article. They belong on the Commons and are to be linked at the bottom of our pages. I'd be surprised if you find a GA, A or FA class railway article with a gallery section. Please make sure you are aware of our policies if you are going to repeatedly revert edits. - Shiftchange (talk) 22:35, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Mantiens le droit
I was merely reporting what I heard elsewhere in what I thought was a proper source. As it turns out, my source (my sister) is a tremendous troll, but I'll confess that I couldn't be bothered to change what I'd written. Sorry. You don't have to be quite so confrontational, you know. Lockesdonkey (talk) 04:51, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
A.K.A. stands for "also known as."
In your edit summary to forgery you state that there is no such word as aka. This is an acronym for "also known as." English can be tricky. --Andrewaskew (talk) 03:42, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- I disagree with your assesment as to the formality level of this word. (Incidentally it is not an "unword," there is no such thing, it is a preposition.) I have never personally read a teen 'zine, but I have encountered this in both legal texts and academe.
- Well, whoever said that lawyers and professors could write? Kelisi (talk) 04:31, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- I believe both lawyers and professors have said that they can write. And we can believe them, they're experts.
- I didn't mean to imply that you believe in unwords. I can, in fact, sympathise. I personally have been fighting a war against shotty myself. I just happen to disagree on aka. --Andrewaskew (talk) 05:43, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- That said. Your version of forgery is almost as good as it was before. So I am leaving it alone rather than being drawn into a pointless edit war. Best of luck to you. --Andrewaskew (talk) 04:29, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Jewish History of Stipshausen
Hi, I was reading about the material that you added about the Jewish History of Stipshausen. I believe that my grandfather's family was the last Jewish family to leave Stipshausen after Kristallnacht. I was wondering, where did you find this information about the Jewish history of the town? Thanks so much! Grantk928 (talk) 13:56, 11 October 2012 (UTC)Grant
Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I'm looking to confirm this information. All I have are stories, but from the sounds of it, the timing works out that this article might be about them. I've found Mr. Zimmermann's email address through a little online investigation, so I just have my fingers crossed for his response. Thank you again for helping me find this information! Greetings from Campora San Giovanni and polite request for cooperation for the exchange of translations for various Wikipedia articles in proper English and vice versa. --Lodewijk Vadacchino (talk) 04:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
Good morning from the far Calabria, My Dear and esteemed friend and colleague,
I write to you first of all to extend my warmest greetings and affection from my homeland of Calabria, in addition to this to ask if you could do me this kindness, help your possible for some items to improve and/or translated starting from the French. of course, your kindness will be very well rewarded and thanked her with some translation in the languages in my knowledge, mostly concerned dialects Northern, Central and Southern Italians, of course, in the various editions Wikipedia, I can definitely help you in Sicilian, Neapolitan, Piedmontese, a little Lombard, Bolognese and so forth, but also in some dialects Iberian (Asturian, Mirandese). Are always supported by a friend: Rei Momo, that if you can introduce yourself, speak French well, a little better than me...although I confess I preferred to write in my shaky, inaudible even English, this is because even if a stammering tongue, or is talking to fatigue or almost a language, I still like to try to speak the language of my partner also to improve my pronunciation and writing of the language itself. So I ask your pardon, if I have made a few grammatical errors.--Lodewijk Vadacchino (talk) 04:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
however, I ask you kindness if you can take a look and expanded in a few articles that I'm going to link below:
- Radio Studio 54 Network, the radio flagship of Calabria, very popular in all the South of Italy and by the Community Calabrese in the world, thanks to its powerful streaming (revision and extension of the history of radio);
- Rosanna Marani, a journalist, writer, author and TV presenter, very active in the social environment, especially in the environmental (and Anglicization review article).
- fr:Catona, a Borough of Reggio Calabria (very nice and colorful), where I currently shuttling from my native village, to labor issues, a good translation of the French edition.
- fr:Église San Francesco di Paola (Reggio de Calabre), the local church Catona, in neo-Romanesque style.
Do not worry quietly write in English and in the language of Wikipedia, let's say you are one of the few users pilgrims going and / or meets Wikipedias in native users. For the rest I thank you for your patience and kindness in helping me and that you will answer me. a hug from Calabria, with the wish that May you come to visit us soon.--Lodewijk Vadacchino (talk) 04:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Sorry for the lack of an answer to your question; a security issue was involved. Specifically, the edit summary parsing code was open to abuse by spammers and vandals, who could prevent recent changes, watchlists, and article histories from loading. I submitted a patch to fix the bug in the code, and this patch is part of the latest security releases of MediaWiki. You should no longer encounter this issue on Wikipedia or any other Wikimedia site.
In case you are wondering, the problematic edit was revision #360541408, and information about the bug is available in the release announcement, T43400, and the previously reported T40566. Thanks for reporting the problem. PleaseStand (talk) 02:54, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, after putting the tag, I noticed that it was listed in some dictionaries, and Wikipedia is about verifiability, not truth. Still, the truth is that coup de poing américain seems to have gone the way of the information superhighway: the common use term has changed in favor of something shorter. But don't worry, I won't tag again.--137.122.49.102 (talk) 16:44, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Alexander Wood
Just to fill you in, regarding your talk page comments from a couple of months ago at Talk:Alexander Wood (merchant): per the Dictionary of Canadian Biography entry, I was able to confirm that whoever originally added that statement simply linked to the wrong John Beverley Robinson in error; his father, Sir John Robinson, 1st Baronet, of Toronto, also has the middle name Beverley, was born in 1791 and already had a close professional association with William Dummer Powell even though he wasn't actually a political officeholder yet. Hi Kelisi. Regarding your edits ([2] - [3] - [4]), commenting, "no excuse". In English alphabet, I don't have to use diacritics not used in the alphabet, in fact, sometimes I feel that when I write here Köppen dotted, it may seem substandard, unless I'm explaining the origin of the name, not in articles which redirect to the main article, or writing in a language which uses the dotted ö. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 10:21, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Kleingladenbach.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Kleingladenbach.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:32, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

- Since you so jealously guard all the James Bond articles as if you own them, it hardly seems worth the trouble to argue over one word when I know from previous experience that you are completely unreasonable, have no respect for our language and will oppose any effort to improve the English in any one of your precious articles. Many thanks for your extensive notes on Einollen. I have tracked down my ancestors to this area. They came to Australia in the 1850's and I hope to visit Einollen in the next few weeks looking for traces of them (Werner and Schuster). I was a bit depressed to see that the only famous person from the area was a Nazi rascist called Hermann Gauch! Is that the best the area can offer? Camerojo (talk) 07:02, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- (Not sure if this is where I should post my reply). My ancestor, Jacob Werner, was indeed a musician. He was in the Bavarian army but deserted, eventually making his way to Liverpool where he signed on as musician on a ship to Australia in 1855. He was born in Oberweiler-Tiefenbach (and it seems I have you to thank for that page as well!) in 1829. He and other members of his family were christened in the church of Einollen. I was hoping to find some birth/christening and other records in Einollen and Oberweiler-Tiefenbach - perhaps also some gravestones or cemetery records. Also I am interested in tracking down any remote cousins - descendants of those Werners who may have stayed in the region.
- You name the mayors of the villages. I was thinking of trying to contact them before we go by means of an email in German, but not sure how best to reach them. Do you think that is a good idea? I presume you also have some connection with the area - is that the case?
- By the way, my wife, who will be traveling with me, is an archaeologist and very interested in the Roman connections you mention in Trier. Thank you for that recommendation. Camerojo (talk) 23:17, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:HansvDohnanyi.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:HansvDohnanyi.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:20, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

Calabogie
Hi. I've deleted your addition of unsourced WP:OR at the article for Best Damn Fiddler.... I'm not familiar with the film, really, but there is a comment on the film page from one user that the film was partly shot near "Calabogie." That aside, it seems like a fairly trivial point, anyway, as it's merely the title for a fictional work, not a documentary about either community. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 12:46, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

Autism as a mental disorder
I don't consider autism to be a disorder of any kind, being a person who is autistic. However, the DSM considers autism to be one. To be specific, they merged classical, Asperger's and PDD-NOS into one. I received a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD under the DSM-5. Besides, even if the DSM didn't consider it be a mental disorder, most people do and that is why neurodiversity activists are fighting against.

Bearing Strait crossing
Good job on the copyedit on Bering Strait crossing. That page has been on my mental "to-do" list for some time, but was pretty low on my priority list; I was glad to see your improvements to it when they popped up on my watch list. I did notice that you don't seem to care for the word via and changed it twice. I guess it doesn't really matter, both via and through can be used as prepositions to mean "by means of". Gundagai diacritic
While you have fixed a diacritic, that didn't really need fixing, as it is covered by the disam page already in place, so while your talk page is littered with examples of not using disam pages, you have correctly fixed one, even though the Wp page on disam says to not only just fix one if that's all you're doing. They matter, but not enough when the link goes to wher it is supposed to go to anyway. Dave Rave (talk) 06:58, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
I have no idea what the point of your message is, but my insertion of an umlaut was one of several edits I did yesterday at various articles as part of a housekeeping sweep that I do every now and then to deal with lazy users who couldn't be bothered to put the umlaut in the name Köppen; "Koppen" is simply wrong. His name was Köppen; he pronounced it like that. I'll just repeat the message that I commonly put in the summary slot when I do this: Diacritics matter. And they do, too. By the way, I see that your own Talk page is "littered" with one general kind of message; so no stone throwing in vitreous structures, eh? Kelisi (talk) 16:33, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Small world?
I was checking through my watchlist and saw your edit on Georgina River and was surprised to see the citation coming from my Renamed Places in Queensland webpage. I'm glad someone finds it useful (it's a never-ending task, it seems our ancestors couldn't resist renaming/misnaming/duplicating everything they could). If you ever don't find what you are looking for on that webpage, send me an email (it's on the page or talk to me on-wiki) and I will see if I can help. And thank you for your work on improving Queensland articles! Kerry (talk) 06:47, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Nothing is turning up for me on Chollarton (or variant spellings) in my various databases. I think the document we want to see is this map. Alas it is about 1700km south of me! But I shall make some enquiries. Kerry (talk) 15:50, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- Ah, thank you.
compass directions NbW etc
I just noticed your recent edit to Collingwood, Queensland and was surprised to see NbW etc as directions. After some searching I found its meaning. I'm not sure how many people use this form in Australian English (I did a bit of a search and could not find any examples of it, but then I can't find Australian documents that use 32 compass points for any purpose). I guess I am concerned that the article will be less accessible to readers if the notation is unfamiliar. Kerry (talk) 05:39, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not disputing that it's the right name, but as a piece of terminology that nobody seems to use (e.g. most references to NbW on Wikipedia aare to Nebelwerfer weapon model numbers), I'm just not sure what use it is to the readers. Maybe if you linked any of these "by" directions to Points of the compass#32-wind compass points, it would at least help the reader figure it out. But looking at the table, I honestly think you could just approximate them to the better known 16 compass points, e.g. Albrighton appears to be NNW to my eye. Kerry (talk) 07:37, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- By the way, you mention that the Bing maps shows the streets in Collingwood. It doesn't show all of them. If you want to see the streets and the individual land parcels that were surveyed for the town (which all still exist as it seems nobody's bothered to aggregate them), you need to download the Queensland Globe (which is just a tiny XML file) and open it from within Google Earth. Then turn on the Land Parcel Boundaries in the Layers menu (left-side bar) on Google Earth. Details are here. It's *the* tool for anyone working with Qld geography; I have it running all the time when I am working on Wikipedia. The only problem is that while the Qld Globe layers are CC-BY, the underlying imagery is copyright, so you can't take screenshots for use on Wikipedia (which is a great pity). Dear Kelisi,
I'm astonished by the work you have done in regards to German municipalities.
One thing to note: For translations from German to English and vice versa I'd strongly recommend using dict.cc over leo as only they do know the correct English translation for Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz.

Edits to Bruce McArthur
Thank-you very much for your recent edits to Bruce McArthur! I have comments on a few of your choices. BTW, I'd wanted to avoid being overly formal with the language and was trying to stick with plain English for the average reader.
- strangling →
throttling
. I feel that strangling might be an easier word for most readers. because her data were academic
Here I felt data is used as a mass noun and unquantifiable (like water), and that treating it as a singular works better.told him that that was no place to be gay
I'll think about a rephrase to avoid that that.- who → whom. There is a movement in plain English to do away with whom. I don't particularly care for that, but it apparently confuses some readers.
- I don't think there's any reason to replace html entities (eg: –) with unicode characters.
- excavating at 3 properties →
three
. Normally small numbers are expressed as words instead of numerals. One of the exceptions to this is when numbers may be compared, in which case numbers should all be in the same format (words or numerals). That paragraph has other numbers (30, 75, 100) which the 3 could be compared to. So I feel it's better to have it as a numeral. most prolific known serial killer
. You removed a hyphen in most-prolific. This is a compound modifier and MOS recommends hyphenating these for clarity. I feel the hyphenated version is less demanding on the reader. Serial killer might also be hyphenated but I think most readers are familiar with that term. It may be more obvious withmale sex worker
which is ambiguous without the hyphen. (Is it a male prostitute, or a "worker" who is of the "male sex"?)amyl nitrate -Should this read "nitrite"?-
One source saysto possess amyl nitrates or "poppers,"
anothertook poppers, amyl nitrate,
though I see the Wikipedia article says it belongs to a class called "alkyl nitrites" which I take to be an over-encompassing chemical group.- cafe →
café
I would rather not use accents on loanwords. I don't believe there is any confusion to what a cafe (unaccented) is. - f-- fa-ots →
fucking fagots
. The Bowdlerism is part of a published quote and I feel that it should be reproduced as published.
Also thanks for a lot of the useful linking you added! – Reidgreg (talk) 16:46, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Altogether
Although I agree that "altogether" has a different meaning from "all together", in most of the instances of the change you have been making, I think "altogether" was the intended meaning, and the changes you have made were unhelpful. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:22, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
"Altogether, 35 civilians were killed and only the château was left standing." — I would say that contention is a little incomprehensible. It is being used there to indicate a sum ("35 civilians"), and I hardly believe that it means that they were killed outright instead of being gravely wounded.
No, I am pretty sure the "all told" meaning was intended here, not the "utterly" meaning. Kelisi (talk) 17:57, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- "It is uncommon in western Africa where it usually occurs in small groups, but more plentiful, with large colonies, in eastern Africa. It is also common in southern Asia, but altogether its numbers seem to be declining." I don't think we agree on this one. Perhaps it is a British / American usage problem. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:25, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Altogether vs All together
I have noticed that you are continuing to vandalize Wikipedia, incorrectly changing "altogether" where used correctly by previous authors to "all together" in dozens of articles. Those words do not mean what you think they mean! Briefly, "Altogether" means:
- Completely
- All things considered
- In sum
- Collectively
- On the whole
- Once all is said and done
While "all together" refers to:
- People all together in one place at one time
- Things all together in one place at one time
- Referring to or addressing a group as one
I appreciate your enthusiasm in mass-correcting articles on Wikipedia, but before pursuing such an endeavor, please ensure that you correctly understand what you are doing. I suggest that you go back and fix the articles where you incorrectly changed the wording in this way. If this problem continues, I will be escalating it for administrative review. Here are a couple resources for you to review to help confirm what I am conveying:
- https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/345/all-together-vs-altogether
- https://www.quiz-tree.com/Commonly-Confused-Words_all-together-vs.-altogether_1imageXML.html?subjPage=Commonly_Confused_Words_main&tableID=1
Just checking to make sure I'm not crazy, I put paragraphs for several of your updated articles into Grammarly (a well known digital writing and grammar assistant), it flags your use of "all together" as wrong and suggests correcting it to "altogether". Also, I scored 100% on the quiz above. Techie007 (talk) 20:03, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Michaeljacksonslash.jpg.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:13, 26 October 2020 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Edits over at Geisha
Hi - I'm kind of baffled as to why you've changed "after the war" to "post-war" in every single circumstance over at Geisha with the reasoning "this isn't an office memo" and "cut the cool dude talk"?
For want of a better word (ha!), it seems snipey and to be honest, just kind of pointless. I'd get changing it in some circumstances for variety, but I can't say I've ever seen anyone call "after the war" "cool dude talk" - as in, too informal, too conversational. I'm just saying - I appreciate people helping out with the Japanese arts and culture articles, as sometimes it does feel like just me sweeping them up and rewriting them, but for the future, you don't have to go in so hard on a few grammar issues. We're here to build the article, and not everyone who contributes to the article has the best English, but a bit of WP:GOODFAITH wouldn't go amiss. --Ineffablebookkeeper (talk) 21:03, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Maize article-- bushels
People outside the US may not know what bushels are, but they are the standard unit used by the industry in the US, which is the biggest in the world, and perhaps outside too, just as dollars are the currency used in the international oil market. I don't know how many Americans know bushels, or how many people anywhere know metric tons, but a "bushel basket" used to be a common size, and maybe still is-- I don't know popular culture well enough. editeur24 (talk) 04:18, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Colchester; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Dictionary definition
Merriam-Webster dictionary - Curvaceous - "broadly : having a smoothly curving shape - e.g. a curvaceous coastline" this is additional to being directly linked to human female shape. Urselius (talk) 08:48, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Merriam-Webster's primary definition for that word reads: "having or suggesting the curves of a well-proportioned feminine figure". The "broad" definition is therefore a bit inaccurate — and in an encyclopaedia, we aim for accuracy. Furthermore, Merriam-Webster seems to be about the only dictionary that has the "broad" definition. Kelisi (talk) 17:24, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Jack Kehoe edit
I noticed that you reverted my removal of the "partner" value from Jack Kehoe. My reason for removing that value was that Sherry Smith is not mentioned in the text of the article, when an infobox is supposed to "summarize (and not supplant) key facts that appear in the article". (MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE) Your reply, "But it IS supported in the references (namely Kehoe's LA Times obituary)" does not change the fact that Smith's being Kehoe's partner is not mentioned in the article's text. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:14, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- And so what you do is that. I'd call her a very significant other, given that she was with him for 40 years. Kelisi (talk) 04:13, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for making that change. The article is better with the relationship documented in the text. Eddie Blick (talk) 04:50, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

- It is not an "edit war", Chaheel, it is an attempt to remove crappy pretentious pseudo-French rubbish from WP, and there is no reason why anybody should be forbidden to do that. The term "nom de plume" is not used by educated French speakers — and come to that, nor by educated English speakers, who recognize it for the pretentious guff that it is. The French word is le pseudonyme. Je devrais mentionner que mes connaissances de la langue française sont assez avancées ! And my knowledge of English is likewise so. All that the inclusion of "nom de plume" in that article that you own shows is that you do not speak French, and have a very tenuous grip on English usage. The term "nom de plume" was invented in England (that's right, not France or any other French-speaking place) in the 19th century and used by those who wished to appear cultured, and they did, too — to those who knew no better. It is a substandard usage in both English and French, and I treat it as I would any usage of "ain't". Now, please explain why you think that "nom de plume" should be retained in that article? This mystifies me even without regard to its pretentiousness, for the term applies to writers of literature, not software companies. How about it? Kelisi (talk) 20:39, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Responded to the C&P on the relevant talk page. Chaheel Riens (talk) 20:56, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- While it is true that the word was forged in England, saying that the word isn’t used in French is incorrect, the word is present in all reference French dictionaries today (Larousse, Le Robert, TLFi) including the one from the very purist Académie française since 1935: https://dictionnaire-academie.fr/article/A9N0540 Thibaut (talk) 05:09, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- Given the large number of changes you've made, I suspect a discussion should be here as a resource for all the other editors who may be trying to figure out what is going on. The earliest reference in the Oxford English Dictionary is 1841 and it quotes sources like the Daily Telegraph (a conservative British newspaper) in 1991. Pen name is actually a more recent word dating to 1864 and a back formation. Nom de plume is an English coining. The apparent earlier French language phrase for the same thing is nom de guerre (though as others have pointed out nom de plume seems to be in French now also). Pocket Fowler's has "A nom de plume (also in translated form pen-name) is a name assumed by an author to appear on the title-page of a book; a pseudonym is a name assumed more generally although this too is normally applied in authorial contexts." Nothing about it being substandard. In the case of Louie Crew, nom de plume probably best conveys the spirit in which he was using other names to write. --Erp (talk) 13:02, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- All right, all right! I guess I was wrong about that, but I still maintain that "nom de plume" is needlessly pretentious, getting a bit dated anyway, and much less common than "pen name". I could see that last point in the "What links here" list while I was doing my handiwork.Kelisi (talk) 20:16, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- I've just noticed this particular sentence: "All that the inclusion of "nom de plume" in that article that you own shows is that you do not speak French, and have a very tenuous grip on English usage" - that's pretty close to not only a personal attack, but also an accusation of article ownership - both of which are frowned upon. Please redact them, thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:59, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- You've only just noticed it? I can see that my first impression was right, then: it's pointless to discuss anything with you. You aren't interested in anything that I say. It looks to me as though you're just looking for trouble. Sorry, no nibble.Kelisi (talk) 20:01, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

I feel quite strongly about unfounded comments such as those, and have given you multiple opportunities to take it back, simply by either editing to remove or striking through. You've been here since at least 2005, so it's strange that you would make such a statement then refuse to acknowledge when challenged. Chaheel Riens (talk) 08:17, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
Miscellaneous writers' grip on English usage
Continuing from here, some noms de plume or nom de plumes (with my emboldening) for your delectation:
- To the most faithful and skilful of these [pupils] the master bestows or bequeaths his name or a part of it, or his nom de plume (GO); and thus it is that the celebrated schools (RYUGI or HA or FU) of Japanese painting have been formed and perpetuated [...]. Henry P. Bowie, On the Laws of Japanese Painting.
- The Ballad of Reading Gaol was published early in this same year under the nom de plume 'C.3.3.,' Oscar Wilde's prison number. Stuart Mason, introductory text to Oscar Wilde: A Study.
- BEYLE, MARIE HENRI (1783-1842), better known by his nom de plume of Stendhal, French author, was born at Grenoble on the 23rd of January 1783. Encyclopædia Britannica, 11th ed.
- The greatest poet Cuba has produced after Heredia, Gabriel de la Concepcion Valdes, better known by his nom-de-plume of Placido, was born, not at Santiago,—although he passed some years of his life there,—but at Matanzas. Richard Davey, Cuba Past and Present.
It is imaginable that all these writers had no more than a tenuous grip on English usage, but I rather tend to think that it was no less firm than yours or mine. -- Hoary (talk) 00:27, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Well, I don't know that Richard Davey could be called such a great writer. After all, he has misspelt "Gabriel de la Concepción Valdés" and "Plácido". Famous writers don't always get it right. Read about Pippa Passes and find out how Robert Browning once got it disastrously wrong (it's quite amusing, actually).Kelisi (talk) 07:40, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Davey was published by Scribner's, for a general readership. Provision of sorts for accented letters was considerably more of a pain for letterpress printing than inserting them is today, so it was common for non-academic books to dispense with such niceties. Yes, famous (or merely proficient) writers do indeed on occasion get it wrong; but when so many use a term that escapes alteration by the proofreaders and copyeditors of their reputable publishers, I'd infer that the term is well-formed within the particular language (here, English). How do you distinguish between what's acceptable and what you call "substandard usage"? -- Hoary (talk) 09:30, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

The Montreux Oberland Bernois Railway is still the operator of trains over the Montreux–Lenk im Simmental line. - I'm afraid it's as sourced as the original German article. I gathered that the sources for all the information are in the "Further reading" section (called "Literatur" in German). Now, I think that those are both paper books, and I wouldn't know how to cite chapter and page, as I have no idea how to get hold of them. They are not likely to be widely available outside Germany, I wouldn't think (I'm not even in Europe). The original writer (much of whose text still seems to stand after 11 years) on de:WP was Radiojunkie. He/She is still active, having made edits less than a week ago. He/She named those two books under "Literatur" even back then. Perhaps somebody will have to ask him/her to be a bit thorougher in his/her attribution. I have also put a message on the new article's Talk page:
- "Can somebody find a way to render the two route diagrams here? The German article has them, but I have little idea about how to convert them. Thanks for any help. 17:00, 8 August 2023 (UTC) Kelisi (talk) 17:00, 8 August 2023 (UTC)"
- Can you do that? And if not, can we find somebody who can? Kelisi (talk) 19:23, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- I currently don't have access to these books either, and I don't know that much about German local railway systems. I think the best way forward is to work on this article in draftspace until it's ready for publication; right now, it's just too far from meeting WP:V. Notability is also an issue, particularly because I'm not sure what the reputation of the authors and publishers of the cited books is. Actualcpscm (talk) 13:59, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
Euskirchener Kreisbahnen moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Euskirchener Kreisbahnen. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it lacks inline citations. Brief discussion at User_talk:SunDawn#Review_of_Euskirchener_Kreisbahnen. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Actualcpscm (talk) 14:32, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Asqueladd. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Itziar Castro, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Asqueladd (talk) 19:29, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- The source is unconsequential. As a user-generated source, no version of Wikipedia is a reliable source. This is explained in WP:RSPRIMARY (
"Wikipedia articles (and Wikipedia mirrors) in themselves are not reliable sources for any purpose"
) and WP:USERGENERATED (Content from websites whose content is largely user-generated is generally unacceptable. Sites with user-generated content include personal websites, personal and group blogs (excluding newspaper and magazine blogs), content farms, Internet forums, social media sites, fansites, video and image hosting services, most wikis and other collaboratively created websites"
. Wikipedia is not perfect, but it should not go backwards. Unsourced or undersourced articles should improve its verifiability with reliable sources. You added content without providing a reliable source and furthermore, you hijacked the citation of a reliable source (WP:HIJACK). All in all, the table (as in originated in es.wikipedia or wherever it came from) should not be handled as a reliable source. At best, you can consider it as a "skeleton" to actually fill with reliable sources.your userpage calls you a "pretentious twat".
I've been called many things on here. I've found those two descriptions in particular amusing.--Asqueladd (talk) 22:05, 8 December 2023 (UTC)- What are you talking about? I did no such thing as "hijacking" a source. But my view hasn't changed: if you disapprove of that edit, then wipe the whole table out, for it all comes from the table in the Spanish article.
- And for Pete's sake, get that obscenity off your userpage! You have no idea how it makes you look. Kelisi (talk) 22:15, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- You did hijack citation #21, as that citation is presumed to verify the content to its left and the reliable source does not mention any name for the role Itziar Castro plays in the film. Please read WP:HIJACK. I am certainly persuaded to remove many rows of the table as they seem to be non-notable appearances (and a large chunk of them in non-notable works). I am not inclined to remove them just because they are unsourced. I prefer to look out for reliable sources (for those that seem plausibly sourceable) instead. That's actually something that I've doing in that article.--Asqueladd (talk) 22:21, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

I don't appreciate the tone of your edit summary: "Please work on your comprehension", especially after I took the time to make numerous grammatical and formatting improvements to this article.
1. "it was expected" : Please read MOS:WEASEL
- Does not apply. Meaning is perfectly clear. It is also a very common expression when referring to parents' expectations of their children.
2. "Her elder sister was her role model and she was en route" : "she" can refer either to the sister or the article subject—it's not clear.
- It is perfectly clear. The subject of the article was never en route to becoming a cardiologist; so it must have been her sister.
Lastly, please read WP:ESDOS

Your recent editing history at Uterus didelphys shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
The WP:ONUS is on you as the original proponent of the edit to discuss and obtain consensus for the edit. Stop reverting. Jasper Deng (talk) 21:21, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not interested in uncivil transphobic screeds (it is not a scientific fact that only women have a uterus, see intersex for example) that try to absolve you of all wrongdoing. If you care so much about this, open a talk page discussion on the article talk page. If not, leave it. My good faith attempt to follow BRD is the right thing to do and you're doing everything to frustrate it.--Jasper Deng (talk) 22:41, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- I am so sorry that you are not interested. The thing is, though, that you must be. I think you reverted the above just because you wanted to evade those first two points more than anything. I notice that you didn't address them in your response. I notice, too, that you didn't address my point that "women" was the term otherwise used throughout that article, either. By the way, I have checked several other articles about female reproductive organs and female physiology, and they all use "woman" and "women" throughout. If you were sincere about furthering some worthy goal here on WP, I rather think that you would have done a thorougher job. I am also not too sure that you are not violating WP:SOAP — but perhaps that's debatable. You have furthermore done nothing to make me think better of referring the matter of your behaviour to another administrator. Things like calling me "transphobic" and accusing me of "wrongdoing" are quite beyond the pale. Please do not post abusive messages on my Talk page. Kelisi (talk) 05:20, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Jurassic Park (film). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. The reason for using the template is to establish that there's some basis for the conversion, rather than an editor pulling numbers out of thin air. You were asked to use it and declined to do so, hence this notice. You're welcome to use the Convert template or provide a source for your number. DonIago (talk) 07:09, 13 February 2024 (UTC)

About the addition of maps in Penang
Hey there. Regarding the map that you added in Penang, I'll have to disagree. It simply doesn't depict anything more than a blank raw map, there was no additional information from it & up to yesterday, that map along with several other images were causing MOS:SANDWICH. In fact, one could just as easily open up OSM & get the same viewpoint, but with enhanced functionalities (rather than attaching a raw OSM map that just appears repetitive to the location map within the same section).
In fact, there had been previous discussions about the article when nominating it for GA. One sticking point was the excess images in the article. WP isn't a repository, and there should have been greater prudence in adding images, charts or maps into the article so as to ensure relevance and remaining pertinent to the prose (and not adding repetitive maps which add little to what has been already present).
Maybe a wider discussion could be initiated so as to determine the consensus for this OSM map you're adding? hundenvonPG (talk) 09:35, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hey there. You're not looking closely enough. There is plenty of additional information on it, inserted by me. This is why it annoys me so much that somebody would simply cast it aside after I took the trouble to enhance the base map. It deserves to be there. It's more detailed than any other map there. Spanish bullfighters
Hello Kelisi, nice to meet you. I just saw that you have created the biography of Pepe Luis Vázquez Silva, and frankly you have created a spectacular article, congratulations! As I see that you have an interest in Spanish bullfighter biographies, an interest that we share, I wanted to ask you if you were already creating the article of Paco Camino or if you were in the process of doing it. I am asking because I am already doing the draft and I would not want to interfere with your work. Regards! _-_Alsor (talk) 11:19, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! And you'll be happy to know that I am not doing Paco Camino, and since you are doing him, I'll lay off, as it were. I see that Camino died mere days ago. By the way, we customarily call bullfighting a sport, even if aficionados see it otherwise. Is Spanish by any chance your first language? If so, you might consider translating the Pepe Luis Vázquez Silva into Spanish. There is no article about him on es:WP. He must be the only Spanish bullfighter with an article on en:WP but not es:WP. Kelisi (talk) 15:31, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Kelisi Well, I'm getting to it! I hope to be in time to nominate the article for Main Page. Well, to be specific, Catalan is my first language, but obviously being a Spanish national it is my second language. Anecdotes aside, I will take the time to create the Pepe Vásquez article in Spanish. I already thought it was strange that he didn't have one.
- On the consideration of bullfighting as a sport. At least in Spain the press and the actors of the bullfighting world have never mentioned it as a sport but as a cultural spectacle. In fact, the first article of the Law 18/2013, of 12 November, for the regulation of bullfighting as cultural heritage says that
"bullfighting is understood as the set of knowledge and artistic activities, [...] relevant expression of the traditional culture of the Spanish people [...]. It is understood included in the concept of bullfighting all artistic and cultural manifestation linked to it.
- So, at least legally, it would be definable more as an artistic and cultural spectacle than a sport. And I think the same... _-_Alsor (talk) 17:57, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that it is not really considered a sport in places where it is practised, but elsewhere... I personally don't think of figure skating as a sport, but rather as something more akin to a performing art. Nonetheless, if I did an article about a figure skater, I would be obliged to describe him/her as a "sports(wo)man" — because that is the common perception in most places. Question
Hello. I saw this edit summary on my watchlist and it left me perplexed. Why is that "ignorant"? I don't recall whether that was my own writing or someone else's, but that's not really a common sentiment I've come across either way, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 23:09, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Quite simple: the pre— and post— words can only be used as adjectives, and never as adverbs. Using them as adverbs is as ignorant as saying "It ain't never mattered nohow" or "I done it real good", or something like that — just crappy English, "irregardless" you might (but shouldn't) say. Template capitalization
Hey, regarding this edit and your summary "For your information, it is SUPPOSED to be a big S, and if you revert it again, I guarantee that somebody else will eventually change it back to big S."
I'm not aware of any guideline mandating capitalizing template calls. If you know of such a thing, please point me to it. Some editors prefer to capitalize and others prefer lowercase. Editing an article just to change from one form to the other is nonproductive. Srleffler (talk) 05:46, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- And so is reverting it. Had that occurred to you? Kelisi (talk) 05:53, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi, I just came to make a similar comment, re this similar edit. Please do not waste your time on this sort of thing. The template will function exactly the same whether it starts with a capital letter or not! I’m not saying you “should never ever capitalise templates” but making an edit to do only that sort of change is a big waste of your time. It also uses server resources and causes a bunch of other people’s watchlists to light up, but mostly I’m just sure you could be spending your energy on more worthwhile (and interesting!) stuff. (FWIW I agree that reverting the edit is also a waste of time.) — HTGS (talk) 21:55, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Paco Pérez Durán article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 15:50, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Paco Pérez Durán, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 15:52, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Paco Pérez Durán, you may be blocked from editing. GiantSnowman 15:54, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- The fact you speak Spanish is irrelevant - we need an actual source. GiantSnowman 15:56, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

- Everybody who adds IPAs adds unsourced IPAs, Snowy! As near as I can tell from looking at Wikipedia articles, there is no such thing as sourcing IPAs. I think your constant disruptive behaviour with regard to the ridiculous demand that IPAs be sourced, and now your threat to block me might just be grounds for a complaint about your conduct. I have been doing this kind of thing for years – and so have many others – and there has never been any trouble from anyone — except you.

Hi - now that the tunnel to Sandoy has opened, would you be willing to update your lovely map accordingly?
(I spend far more time on Faroese articles than I probably should, because it's such a joy to go over your map.) — kwami (talk) 06:02, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- I'm working on another map just now, but afterwards, I'll review the addition to the Faroe road network, and I'm sure that the new tunnel will appear within a few days. I don't know whether you're Faroese, but my only experience with the islands was an overflight years ago now. Those are some crazy sea cliffs they have. Yes, they're clearly visible even from 12 km up. Kelisi (talk) 06:29, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- no, not faroese, i just like the map
- the tunnel's already there, just dotted as under construction, which should be a simple fix -- unless the route changed. — kwami (talk) 08:47, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor
Hi. I would appreciate it if you could make adjustments to your recent edits, several of which feature the phrase "now Andrew Mountbatten Windsor". Per WP:PRECISELANG Where possible, avoid terms such as "now" and "soon" (unless their intended meaning is made apparent), "currently" and "recently" (except on rare occasions where they are not redundant), or phrases such as "in modern times" and "the sixties" (unless their frame of reference was previously made clear).
Thanks. Keivan.fTalk 22:06, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
- What is imprecise about the word "now"? That means "at this time". "Now" is very precise here. That section that you cite is prefaced with the statement "In general, editors should avoid using statements that will date quickly." That "now" will not date quickly — unless Mountbatten Windsor drops dead tomorrow (not altogether likely). When he finally does die, though, every occurrence of "now" can be changed to "later". In this context, the intended meaning is quite apparent; it means literally "now", as you are reading this. Kelisi (talk) 02:28, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- This is basically you pulling a WP:CRYSTALBALL. Yes, he could live for another 30 years but he could also drop dead tomorrow. The way you're structuring the sentences is simply wrong and does make them look dated in the long run, unless you're around years from now and after his death to remember how many dozens of these pages you have changed and correct them one by one. Might as well do it correctly at the moment. Keivan.fTalk 05:37, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- What nonsense, honestly! I haven't put any "crystal ball" material in any article. Furthermore, I am an English teacher by training, and you can be sure that there is nothing wrong with my sentence structure. I have already refuted your claim that I am using imprecise language, and now I see that your complaint has changed into something else altogether. It's now "sentence structure" that's the problem, apparently. I think perhaps you're just being a nuisance. Accordingly, this will be the last time I respond to you. As for remembering all the articles, nobody needs to. Don't you know how the wiki works? How do you think I am finding all these articles to update? Yes, that's right: I go to the Andrew Mountbatten Windsor article and click on "What links here", and there they all are. There are lots and lots of users, Keivan, and even if nobody thinks to go through all the linked articles when Andrew Mountbatten Windsor dies, they will all inevitably all be updated as some user or other notices the outdated wording. Kelisi (talk) 05:57, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Twist it and turn it however you like. Using adverbs such as "currently" and inserting words such as "now" in the prose is strongly discouraged per Wikipedia guidelines. For someone who claims to be a "teacher" your condescending tone is absolutely appalling. Stick with your non-adherence to basic principles because I will not be wasting my time here listening to someone who thinks they know everything. I'll take care of the mess you made myself. Keivan.fTalk 06:11, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

- Perhaps you should look at MOS:NOW to find a form of words that if preferred to “now”, which is problematic, despite claims to the contrary. - SchroCat (talk) 06:33, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should read it a bit more carefully. It covers something that the writer calls the "now" perspective, but it means a "now" that might change. Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's lack of titles and honours will not change. You can be sure of that. As a royal, he's had it. Kelisi (talk) 06:42, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
