Max Payne Booklet

Can I ask why you deleted/reverted the Max Payne composer credit I added? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krustull (talkcontribs) 12:30, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Donohoe and Russell Simpson are only credited in the PlayStation 2 version and were not responsible for the main score. According to the description of this video, they apparently made the credits song for that port only. Only leads are typically listed, so they should not be in the infobox. sources for Pete Hines

[edit]

Hi! It's been almost 5 years since the last AFD for Pete Hines. Do you see any more sources for Pete Hines? Since he left Bethesda, there has been quite a bit of coverage.

Old sources I found.

Timur9008 (talk) 10:13, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't seen any around and I don't exactly have the time for huge research sprees anymore – sorry about that. IceWelder [] 19:07, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how this happened looks like the photo for Ed Fletcher is back up. [1]]

I've noticed this while going through the URL's. (I had the photo saved elsewhere). Timur9008 (talk) 14:15, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the Wayback Machine still occasionally receives ancient caches for inclusion, so it might be that. Either way, the WP:NFCC rules still apply and we likely can't include the image here. I don't know if there is a case for "people who have vanished from the public eye", that would be a question better suited for the talk page over there. krass ™

[edit]

thanks for the revert, it's helping me better develop (tm) → ™ policy . do you think it's best to always match source typography or favor wikipedia readability? is there a happy medium? Tonymetz 💬 19:16, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it's easies to just keep it as is, also because that makes it easier to search for the source if it is moved from the given link without redirect. The same idea applies to "fixing" typos in cite titles. IceWelder [] 19:42, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
good tip I'll keep that in mind Tonymetz 💬 19:46, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Nil

[edit]

Regarding [2], when could mw.wikibase be nil? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:00, 9 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I understand, this can happen whenever Wikidata may not be available. I notice errors like these when I export articles including templates to my offline wiki for draft editing. IceWelder [] 20:36, 9 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
mw.wikibase is a lua library of functions for accessing Wikidata, a library which is always available. I don't think you should really be editing modules for your convenience on an offline wiki? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:16, 9 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Wikidata is not necessarily always available, it may be down at unforseen times. Either way, a sanity check is always a good idea. The other-wiki convenience is an added bonus. IceWelder [] 21:19, 9 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

deletion

[edit]

Why did you delete the entire section of HCR3 without a summary? Vandalism? Asp37 (talk) 22:59, 10 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

follow-up

[edit]

If the issue is the sources and social media pages being self published is it okay for me to add it back without that Asp37 (talk) 23:10, 10 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, there were major issues with the sourcing, and that on an article that was already in a desolate state. I'd argue a full rewrite is necessary to recitfy that. IceWelder [] 06:15, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Desolate? How so? Based on the tone and approaches of the neighboring paragraphs my paragraph about the third edition was not empty in the sense. The second edition barely received any recognition and that one stayed.
About the sources, what if instead of official Fingersoft publishers I use other reputable sources covering this topic Asp37 (talk) 07:07, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Desolate as in the article is poorly written, poorly structured, and tagged as potentially a COI contribution. Another user seems to have cleaned up some aspects since my revert, but there would still be a lot of work to do. As for your contribution, yes, there should be reliable secondary sources in play. IceWelder [] 16:03, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've done a complete redesign and have used secondary sources for everything except once as I was struggling to find an English article. Take a look at it and let's discuss any remaining defects. I also included others so that the article was consistent. Asp37 (talk) 22:50, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
i also removed the supppsed "promotional language" i could see that may comeoff as such. If there's any more left I'd appreciate a point out as I'm new to editing so I'm not too sure on how some things I consider normal might not be very neutral. Asp37 (talk) 00:25, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Logos

[edit]

Hi! :) Can you added the logos to Video Business and Online Gaming Review? Timur9008 (talk) 10:34, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't find any high-res images, so I uploaded those from the old websites. IceWelder [] 16:17, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! :) Timur9008 (talk) 11:09, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

where exactly should i port the allumeria page to?

[edit]

just wondering, plus the redirect links to the mojang page so i gotta fix that when we move it anonymsiy.user‬ 15:52, 14 February 2026 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anonymsiy (talkcontribs) [reply]

Like I suggested, it could be on the Minecraft article. IceWelder [] 16:10, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
should i put it in the clones section? anonymsiy.user‬ 16:23, 14 February 2026 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anonymsiy (talkcontribs) [reply]
@Anonymsiy @IceWelder Sorry this was my mistake, I told them to put it on the Mojang article. Yes, the Minecraft article makes more sense here, I would put it under a new section in controversies personally. The main point here is that the game is actually not a clone, and the reason it would have an entry is because it is involved in a controversy. LuniZunie(talk) 17:16, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Iirc, there have been other DMCA controversies with Minecraft, so perhaps this could be a section that includes much more than just Allumeria. LuniZunie(talk) 17:17, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
