Your submission at Articles for creation: Merius Wenda (January 5)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by GoingBatty was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Drafts should be written based on multiple independent sources, not what a person writes about themselves.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hello HermanWanggai and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Republic of West Papua, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a Help desk, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Ckfasdf (talk) 09:42, 5 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HermanWanggai. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:HermanWanggai. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=HermanWanggai|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 23:20, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for expressing your thoughts and feelings @331dot.
I am not sponsored to talk about or being bias on this particular matter.
I suppose I can say the same thing about you.Thank you. HermanWanggai (talk) 23:36, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
So, you are not paid for your role as CEO of the West Papua Human Rights Center? 331dot (talk) 00:36, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Please understand the basis and accountability of your accusations. I cannot continue to cater to your suspicion and feelings @331dot. HermanWanggai (talk) 00:44, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
So...that's a yes or a no? And you don't need to tag every comment with an RFC tag. 331dot (talk) 01:17, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@HermanWanggai: either answer 331dot's straight question in a straight manner, or I will block you for undisclosed COI editing. And stop with the personal attacks and general belligerence. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:47, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CabinetCavers was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
It's currently WP:TOOSOON to have a list. There aren't quite enough sources and one person isn't a list.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.
DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:09, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for expressing your opinion.
I understand that the topic and narratives about West Papua have been largely
written and kept in a certain way by many state-sponsored and non-state actors,
which why it is unnecessarily difficult to pass a non-bias article such as the one
I submitted. It is highly debatable whether this article is relevant or not to be accepted.
The existence and the authority of West Papua Provisional Government has been accepted by many of the African and Pacific Island countries, which is why Wikipedia pages related to West Papua provisional government need to be updated and relevant for public consumption.
I am requesting for a broader audience and non-bias wikipedia editors to participate in this issue.

HermanWanggai (talk) 22:19, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Accusations of bias are very serious, and require serious evidence. That you disagree with what others have said does not make them biased. 331dot (talk) 23:22, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
again, please try to comprehend the nature of the matter (specifically the matter of West Papua) before jumping to conclusions like the precious editors. Thank you. HermanWanggai (talk) 23:40, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't reached any conclusions, please present your evidence of bias against you. 331dot (talk) 00:38, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Noting that they created an RfC and added {{Help me}} to CabinetCavers's talk page, along with a nonsensical deletion review, with the XfD being "Wikipedia:Files for deletion/Draft: List of ambassadors of West Papua to the United States of America" Hoping I don't get accused of being bias for adding this. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 00:44, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Have I done something wrong? CabinetCavers (thou shalt speaketh) 01:32, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Allegedly you are "bias" and "careless", and you must be fully informed about a topic to be able to review drafts about it. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 01:35, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I declined because the draft had citation issues, and now I'm biased for it? That makes no sense. CabinetCavers (thou shalt speaketh) 02:08, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. I agree with your AfC comment. This could become ANI worthy if this user continues to double down. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 02:10, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Closing this as the user appears to have received help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 21:19, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed draft article is here Pincrete (talk) 09:54, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Comment (Summoned by bot) Firstly, this is not a suitable matter for an RfC, but, having had a look at the draft and a quick look at the 'references', CabinetCavers was clearly right in all respects that this is too soon to have such an article. One person is not a list and the references I looked at were clearly not sufficient nor independent of the movement itself. The first was even jointly written by, but did not endorse the ambassadorship of the supposed first ambassador, Mirius Wenda. HermanWanggai, IMO there isn't even the remotest possibility of an RfC overturning the decision, but there is a real possibility of you getting banned from the site for wasting everyone's time. I would strongly suggest you close this RfC.Pincrete (talk) 10:27, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
