Hi, thank you for having a look.
When you say the "This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article."
But why the article is in the french wikipedia ?
Please note, i'm not a wikipedia writer or related to the topic but i'm really surprise why it declined.
If there any issue, can you point them out: there sources related to the topic in french national news such as https://www.lemonde.fr/afrique/article/2009/09/25/le-directeur-du-quotidien-l-union-interpelle-au-gabon_1245313_3212.html, https://www.lemonde.fr/afrique/article/2009/09/26/au-gabon-l-union-journal-de-feu-omar-bongo-se-rebiffe_1245483_3212.html etc. So i'm lost here. Hi, each version or language of Wikipedia has their own set of rules, guidelines, policies and standards for articles. I would say the English Wikipedia is the strictest in this regard. The issue is that you've only cited one source in the article, and the source you have cited leads to a 404 page. You need to cite a range of reliable, secondary sources about the topic to establish it as notable. Rambley (talk / contribs) 21:15, 21 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Make since !
I added the sources from le monde backed by AFP.
As stated previously, i'm just offering my contribution.
Please feel free to review by adding your changes in the format etc.
If you believe despite adding more sources still can't fix the issue, feel free to decline the page.
I just wanted to help to translate the page in english it is available in French wikip.

Thank you @WikiDan61, can you please have a look on the following version https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Gnomoy/L%27Union_(Gabonese_Journal) Gnomoy (talk) 08:26, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than creating a separate draft in your userspace, I recommend that you continue to work on improving the draft you've already started. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:33, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@WikiDan61 thank you for advice. I couldn't rename it from L'Union (Journal Gabonais) to L'Union (Gabonese Journal).
If now the article is compliant, can you please help on finalizing the contribution.
Best Gnomoy (talk) 20:33, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I've cleaned up the draft to make it publication ready. I'll move it to the proper draft title and then accept it for publication there. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:10, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
