Regarding headings, a question

I just noticed someone changed all subheadings in Other Records and used this as explanation, MOS:NOSECTIONLINKS heading to this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Section_headings – no repeating section headings.

Is this valid and if it is do you have a suggestion for better subheadings, which would also change in f1 constructors records Michalis2504 (talk) 20:42, 10 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Michalis2504. "No repeated headings" is a valid thing, although I think in this case the chosen implementation has resulted in some rather awkward section headings, e.g. "Wins, other". Personally I preferred the headings how they were, noting that while it contravened MOS:NOSECTIONLINKS, the MOS is just a guideline, not a policy and also WP:IGNOREALLRULES. I can't think of any better non-repeating headings, but another option would be to use table headers in the "Other driver records" section, rather than section headings, e.g. per the example here.
