Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.- To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then make a new one.
- If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page):
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.- Before requesting your new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual:
- You are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually. Examples include: "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
If your username does not represent a group, organization, department, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
- Thank you Spencer, this does indeed make sense. Thank you for clarifying this. No-one is paying us, however I understand about the username and the reasoning behind it.
- I would very much appreciate some help in creating an article, as we are not a large production company with money and staff to do such a thing. I have tried my best to highlight the conflict and to be as unbiased and neutral as possible so that it is not an advert, just simple a page to provide an encyclopedia style entry. - Something/someone doesn't get to have a Wikipedia article just for existing. Wikipedia is selective about the topics it includes, and calls this concept notability. In general, to be considered worthy of inclusion, a topic must have already received significant coverage from a variety of sources that are both reliable and independent of the topic itself. More refined notability criteria specifically for podcast are described at WP:NPOD. We have no interest in what the subject of an article wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest.
- Writing about your own podcast is a conflict of interest, and can be seen as an attempt to use Wikipedia to promote or publicize it. Promotion is not allowed on Wikipedia; it has a broad definition here, and is not restricted to just the sale or goods or services (see Wikipedia:Yes, it is promotion).
- If and when your podcast does become independently notable from having acquired the required depth and breadth of coverage from reliable sources who have chosen on their own to write about it, then someone who is not connected to you will likely write about it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 00:20, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for this explanation. In that case, please can I request an unblock, so that I can request an account vanishing.

Request reason:
I would like to request an account vanishing. BooFoons (talk) 00:32, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Accounts are not unblocked to vanish. I will note that the main issue here is your username and all that is required to get unblocked is to change your username. If you no longer wish to participate here, just stop using and abandon your account. 331dot (talk) 09:28, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I find it highly unlikely that an admin will unblock and allow you to vanish for this reason (WP:VANISHNOT). If you have no intention or desire to edit Wikipedia anymore, simply abandon this account and never log into it again. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 02:54, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
