First 80 to 100Km[c] Above 100Km[d] Total
United States Blue Origin New Shepard 2015 3 28 31 30 26 Fully reusable Active 12 crewed, 16 uncrewed

United States North American Aviation/USAF/NASA North American X-15 1962 11[e] 2 13 12 11 Fully reusable Retired (1968)

List updated 31 May 2025.

  1. ^ a b Only successful launches counted
  2. ^ Only successful recoveries counted
  3. ^ Meets the USA government definition of space (80 Km) but does not meet the international definition (100 Km) of space)
  4. ^ Meets the international definition of space (100Km)
  5. ^ a b c All North American X-15, SpaceShipOne, and SpaceShipTwo suborbital launches were crewed

The proposed table has the same information as the current one, with the addition of the crewed launch notes. It would allow more information to be sorted.

I have considered making the New Shepard entry into two or three lines. With two lines, it would have one line for the launch vehicle and one for the capsule. The three-line version would track the crewed and uncrewed capsules separately. Since all four are fully reusable, it might be justifiable to rename the table to Fully Reusable Suborbital Spacecraft and remove the 'reusability' column. Starship is as of moment still suborbital. Elk Salmon (talk) 23:24, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
