Phonology : Consonants
[edit]The phonology table didn't fully match what was in the provided reference, beyond the IPAfication of the transcription. Some phonemes /l̥, s, r, ɣ/ were missing which were not placed in tables in the reference but described as additional phonemes in text. One phoneme /ŋ̊/ was added that was indicated in the reference as a gap. I've also changed the table layout to remove any speculations what the exact place of articulation might be, as the reference is vague on that. If anyone thinks the previous table was more correct in certain aspects, those claims will need to be additionally sourced. Slovborg (talk) 10:27, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- ... actually, I would also need a citation for the labiovelar occlusives being labialized velar, which I kept from the previous revision. It seems likely compared to the related languages but there's no explicit confirmation in the cited paper. I would also appreciate a confirmation on what the "palatals" actually are (the term is well-defined by IPA but vague in practice) Slovborg (talk) 13:44, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
