Self-assessed as B-Class
[edit]I am the primary contributor and have upgraded the article to B-Class based on the six criteria. I welcome a second opinion or formal review.

- I wrote a reply before I discovered that the user making the assessment has been indefinitely banned. I have modified the comment accordingly. I am editing again because I have researched further and found that all or nearly all of this editor's articles have been deleted due to use of AI. I have reviewed this article because I am a coordinator for the military history project. Articles where the military history project is shown as an interested Wikiproject and which the milhistbot has assessed as B class are routinely checked by coordinators to verify the bot assessment and to determine if the article is within the scope of the project.
- This and the next paragraph are my edited previous comments. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment/Requests: "Editors can self-assess articles against the five B-class criteria(FAQ) up to and including C-Class." Accordingly, please do not assess military history articles which you have written or improved above C-class. Make a request on the assessment request page.
- I removed the military history project banner. A check of some citations shows that Dr. Leffall is notable for his medical and educational career and accomplishments. He is not notable for military service. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history#What topics do we cover? item 2, note 3.
- @Giraffer and Qcne: FWIW, I think that a question now is whether this article has been reviewed for AI generated content or references or other problems. Has this article been checked or does it still need to be checked? As noted, I have checked a few sources and they appear legitimate and Dr. Lefall appears to be a notable person. I am not sure that I would be able to detect whether there is an AI problem because of the apparent good citations and notability. I now note that the original author of this article was blocked in 2016 as a sock.
- I was not sure that any other participants in the noticeboard item that resulted in this editor being banned should be pinged so I have limited the ping to two who appear to be most involved. If anyone else should be asked about this, please ping them as well.
- By the way, the article Michael Gregg, written in 2009 by a user with 16 edits, all about Gregg, and recently added to and updated by this user appears to be a biography of the subject editor JoseyWales019, presumably about his real world self. Wonder if it, and the references, are all factual. I suspect that they are not. Also, if this is him in the link shown next, as it appears to be since this is found through a citation in the article, he sure doesn't look African American to me. https://www.govtech.com/top-25/michael-gregg.
- Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 05:29, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

Sadly this is an autofail, as even if the nomination was properly formatted it is neither a newly-created article nor is it a 5x expansion (article began at 2887b of readable prose and is currently at 4557b). The article requires considerable work before becoming eligible for DYK. Morgan695 (talk) 03:52, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- I formatted the hook in case Smit1296 is able to sufficiently expand the article. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 20:16, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
