British Airways flights to Salzburg and Tui flights to Chambery
[edit]I have noticed that the above flights are not listed as destinations for Glasgow Airport. I flew to Salzburg with BA in August 2025 from Glasgow. It was a Tui holiday arranged with Barrhead Travel and operated by BA so it may be chartered and I don't know if it should be listed with Tui or BA. On the airport website it is not listed for summer! Maybe it has been terminated or they don't show charters as destinations. However, a winter flight by Tui (TOM1664) to Salzburg is shown for the coming winter 25-26. The Tui site itself doesn't appear to be working at this moment. But it should be shown on Wikipedia. The airport website also shows Tui flights to Chambery (TOM1620) which is not a destination shown on the Wikipedia page. They show it as operating all year but this must be a mistake! I will try to check the Tui website tomorrow. I am not an editor and I don't know how to change entries. Maybe some nice person could look at this please. Thanks. - Do we have a reliable source for them? Danners430 tweaks made 07:25, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping. Is the airport website regarded as a reliable source? As I said, Chambery flights are shown as operating all year. If so, they'd be the only summer flight at the airport (according to Wkipedia!). I looked at Tui's site and it does allow booking for flights to Salzburg all next year winter and summer. Is that a reliable source? I also looked at BA's website but if you try to book a Glasgow-Salzburg flight for a Saturday next summer they show 3 options which involve 2 changes. None direct. So no joy there. I just noticed that the airport website shows Jet2 flying all year 6 times per week to Palma de Mallorca. They obviously don't so that source is not reliable. The dates of operation are wrong. I'll probably leave it and bear in mind that you have to be sceptical about the information in Wikipedia. Probably wise anyway!
