Qualifiers
[edit]What is this for a List? The Ratings are wrong and is it safe, these 100 are qualified?
"Only players who played at least 30 rated games counted in any of the 12 standard rating periods from December 2023 to November 2024 are eligible."
says the regulations. but Carlsen only has 26 in this time and Anand has only 7. Future-Trunks (talk) 11:58, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I added the list as a temporary way to start the article. If you would like to edit and fix (for example, removing inactive players) that would be great. Thanks! GeopoliticalSphygmomanometry (talk) 14:19, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- The source used to create this list is outdated as it was a draft version of the regulations. The regulations have been finalized and updated here: [[1]].
- Now, they will be using the June 2025 standard rating list and the 30 games cutoff will be used from July 2024 to June 2025 lists. Cdhopate (talk) 15:18, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Future-Trunks I think the lists should be removed and instead the qualifying criteria should be stated. Once a list of participants is published either by FIDE or a reliable secondary source, this can be added, but the current lists are just (low quality) original research. 87.74.74.173 (talk) 09:17, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
