Missing verb?

[edit]

This sentence - "When it comes to the opinions of others about themselves, they are very indifferent and are relatively hesitant to positive feedback from their peers." - reads like it should have a verb between "to" and "positive", like "to accept positive feedback". Maybe that's clarified in the reference, which I don't have access to. WilbaAtWikipedia (talk) 02:33, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Attachment Criticism section

[edit]

Several entire sub-sections have been removed overnight from the last main section "Criticism" (-11615!!). I would be grateful to understand what issue someone had with these sections. Thankyou BSB BenjaminSylvester-Bradley (talk) 08:05, 25 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@BenjaminSylvester-Bradley hi can I ask something if you don't mind? Jhona Rose (talk) 11:49, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Please go ahead BenjaminSylvester-Bradley (talk) 09:54, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Sorry, but I just removed a lot of the criticism section. It does not follow wikipedia's guidelines of Neutral Point of View language. It also causes issues by giving undue weight to a minority view. If you would like to rewrite it, Wikipedia has made tutorials on how to write in that tone. But in the state it was in, it had a lot of loaded language and the titles for subsections were pretty emotionally charged. Leaving it up in that state would create a bias issue for the page. If you were to rewrite it, I'd recommend shortening the criticism section a couple of paragraphs to avoid the undue weight issue. You can still expand on the criticism by creating a Wikipedia page on Criticism of Attachment Theory and have that page linked in the section here.
I can send you some more info on Wikipedia's guidelines if any of this doesn't make sense. Hope it helps. Reb.perk (talk) 11:23, 13 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored the "Criticism" section per WP:ALLOWEDBIAS. Without that section, the article lacks coverage of the issues with attachment theory and swings strongly to the opposite POV. The section could be shortened and summarized better, but so could the rest of the article. If you'd like, please do that, but don't blank the section. ~2025-41111-36 (talk) 20:23, 16 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
