Noam Bettan[a] (born 5 March 1998)[1] is an Israeli singer and songwriter. In 2026, he won the twelfth season of the singing competition HaKokhav HaBa, and will represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song "Michelle".
Biography
[edit]Bettan was born into a French Jewish family and grew up in Ra'anana.[2] He began his musical career at the end of his military service and, in 2018, came in third place on the program "Aviv or Eyal". In 2021, he began working on his debut album and released several successful singles, such as "Ahavot leYom Ehad", "Ba'ir Sheli" and "KO".[3]
In 2022 and 2023, Bettan released new songs and his debut album, "Me'al HaMayim," featuring the single "Buba," which reached third place on the Galgalatz radio charts.[4][5] In 2023, he also released "Sakin BaLev" and "Lahzor HaBaita."
In 2024, Bettan participated in tribute projects and released the single "Pokeach Einayim," based on a poem by an Israeli soldier killed in combat. In 2025, he released the singles "Madame" and "Sheva Dakot Be-Gan Eden."
In January 2026, Bettan won the twelfth season of the program HaKokhav HaBa, and thus became the Israeli representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.[6][7] His entry for the event, "Michelle", will be released on 5 March.[8]
